No. 377 House rises in Amsterdam, 450 metres away from Leidseplein Square and 500 metres from Vondelpark. In the vicinity, there are the Melkweg, Stadsschouwburg, Holland Casino and Paradiso which may be reached quickly. The hotel's fortunate position makes it possible to easily get to the Museumplein, the Nine shopping streets and the Jordaan.
We stayed here for just 1 night, as we extended our stay and our previous b&b place were fully booked already. This boutique hotel was nicely located in front of the main street. The entrance was quite small so you can easily miss it. There's an elevator in the building so that was a relief to us (stairs here in Amsterdam are quite steep and narrow). We stayed in the 3rd floor room. It was big and nice. But their bathroom was quite cramped! Wish they could have taken some space from the room and put it in the bathroom. Well anyway, the bed was comfortable, everything was working well. We had airconditioning in our room (instead of an open window), I think mainly for security purposes. This hotel is also nicely located, just 5 minutes to the bus stop going to and from the airport. It's totally convenient! But if you're going to visit Anne Frank House, it might take 15 minutes walk. To Dam Square, maybe 20 minutes, to Red Light District, 20 minutes, to Damrack 25 minutes. To Vondelpark, 5 minutes. To Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum, maybe around 7 minutes. Overall, it was quite a pleasant and comfortable stay. Would recommend this to short stays.
The 377 Hotel is well situated, the rooms are clean and modern and the staff is particularly attentive and professional. Just be careful on the steep staircases (there is an elevator) or when crossing the bike lane in front of the hotel (but really this warning applies to all of the Netherlands). Definitely recommend it.
I was happy with my stay. Typical of small B&Bs in Amsterdam, space is very tight outside the rooms. There is an elevator. Otherwise enjoy the steep, winding stairs. Room and bathroom had a recently refurbished look and was very clean. I did notice a slight sewer smell in the bathroom during my first day and informed staff. Didn't notice afterward. I stayed in Room 101 with space for only 1 person. Very compact quarters and too low to get much of a look at the canal across the street. And the street had traffic all night. Hotel placed ear plugs in the bathroom. If you are a light sleeper bothered by cars passing by at night, you should ask for a room away from street. Breakfast was a highlight. Fresh eggs prepared to your liking and all the other bits for an authentic European breakfast. Don't leave without having pancakes at least once! Very accommodating, helpful staff. Would stay again.
"Excellent Hotel in Brilliant Location"
We stayed in this hotel for five nights at the end of February/beginning of March. I was blown away by the standard of this hotel, especially as we had chosen it as it was a little cheaper than some of the others we were considering. We stayed in room 401 which had more than enough room, beautiful views over the canal and across the city, and THE most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! The room was really clean, and the decor look fresh too - not tired like it is in some hotels. I really couldn't fault the room at all. When we arrived the staff at the hotel had put rose petals on our bed and left a small bottle of bubbly in the fridge free of charge, along with a lovely message as it was our anniversary whilst we were staying. It was a lovely way to be welcomed after a very early morning of travelling. We hadn't actually realised that we had paid for breakfast too so that was a bonus, and it was great every morning. The pancakes are delicious! But also a good selection of Continental breakfast if you prefer. Something that I thought was brilliant was that you are able to rent bikes free of charge for up to 24 hours from the hotel. This is something that we had planned on doing anyway, and so saved us a bit of money :) In terms of location, we walked everywhere. It's very easy to get from the main train station to the hotel via tram if you have bags, but other than that we didn't use public transport at all. Everything is within a half hour walk at most. Some good bars and restaurants in the area where the hotel is located too, but a bit more pricey than some we found when venturing off the main street. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam, it really surpassed my expectations and made a fantastic trip even better! Thank you for making our stay so special :)
"Comfortable, good location and great price."
We stayed here while attending a Darius Rucker concert at the Melkweg. This was ideal as it's less than a 10 minute walk away. Easy link from the airport on the 192 bus and only a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Numerous bars and restaurants by the Melkweg and a walk into the Red Light and shopping area is an easy 15-20min. Room was lovely and we stayed in the basement which is the cheapest and all you need. The bed was so comfortable and the shower perfect. Loved it and would not hesitate to stay again. Free wifi suberb.
