"Good location "
Stayed here for the weekend with the other half. Arranged for the hotel to collect us from the airport and take us back on departure. Which was arranged for a reasonable charge as the hotel is a fair bit away from the airport. Hotel is a 5-10 minute walk to the centre of tower square. This was full of Christmas markets and people. Very busy this time of year. Lots of pubs and restaurants surround the square to suit everyone's taste. Our Hotel room was large and over looked the Main Street and opposite hotel. Noise is a minimal - you can hear other doors in the hotel closing but not enough to ruin your sleep or annoy you too much. We didn't find this a problem. The bathroom has glass thin doors and the sink for the bathroom is in the bed room. This wasn't a problem for us as we where a couple. But may he strange for a phone who wants a little privacy if staying with someone other than their other half. Breakfast was a small basic buffet with both hot and cold food. With hot and cold drinks. Breakfast was average. But was kept warm and had good breakfast times- stayed on a little later on weekends. Had a few drinks at the bar and a small bite to eat as we arrived home late and had had a large lunch/dinner in town. Drinks where average price- bar area is small and quiet. Food - basic snack menu- average prices. Food was good. Overall large room with comfortable stay and Hotel in good location within walking distance to many tourist attractions. We would stay again.
"Design is only in the name"
Overall this is an ok hotel and quite good value for money in a good location. Don't expect much in terms of experience though. Welcoming experience similar to buying a ticket at a metro station. Overall the place has zero vibe. Staff is going through their day in a mechanical fashion. Generally "Design features" are made of cheap material and showing aging both in terms of state and modernity. Lighting is cold in areas that should feel warm and ambiant music mostly absent. The small bar advertising a "happy hour" is the saddest place. Haven't seen a single client buying drinks. Bedroom is small but ok and bed comfortable. Bathroom is halfway into the bedroom with the design elements mostly an excuse to cut corners with space. TV is flat screen but early days of this technology. Most annoying thing in this hotel is the bad indoor sound proofing with each door closing with a loud bang echoing in the hall. A sure way to wake you up in a stupor in the middle of the night. (To the management: Guys, FIX THIS !) Breakfast is decent and in line with price level of this type of hotel.
"I would say 3.5 of 5"
Stayed with my wife 3 nights. In a general view a quit good experience. Staff were magnificent. Breakfast was excellent. Location is good. Room was clean. But has many potentials for improvement: Light, mattress, pillows and room door's key system (not working properly). Thank you for the stay!
The room was old style high ceiling and big huge window which was near the bed. You could feel the draft during the night. The bed was big but rocky hard and had 2 small pillows. There weren't any hot drinks or water ( only if you pay it from the mini bar)! Our room was at first floor, terrible view and very noisy in the morning! The breakfast was average! I am so dissapointed and I would not come back!
"Close to train station, far from old town"
It's less than 5 minutes walk from train station but 15 - 20 minutes walk from old town. If u mind the walk after a long day out, this hotel may not suit u. Good soundproof, hardly any noise. There's no hair dryer. No kettle but u can take hot water from ground level, no toothpaste but u can ask for one. Room looks nice. There's quite a gap (more than 1cm) between toilet door and wall, meaning the person outside can easily see when u are doing your business inside. Good water heating system. Receptionists are helpful and friendly.
