Ideally located in one of the best areas of Madrid, on the Paseo de la Castellana, the AC Aitana hotel is next to the Santiago Bernabéu football stadium, just 8mn by car from the Prado Museum, 13km from the Madrid-Barajas Airport and only 500m from Gregorio Marañon metro station.

"Clean and good location if you love football/soccer, but beware of dry cleaning"
This is a very nice hotel. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean, and in my particular case I had a beautiful terrace. It's right next to the stadium where Real Madrid plays, so you plan on visiting the stadium you can't beat this hotel's location. It's also very close to the 10 line on the subway, so simple enough to get to other places by train (and I have to say, Madrid's subway system is excellent). My only caution is to beware of insane prices for dry cleaning. Just to cite a few examples: Socks: 4.50 Euro per pair T-Shirt: 6.50 Euro each Button-down Shirt: 7.00 Euro each Suit: 10.50 Euro each These prices are just silly. 4.50 Euro for a pair of socks'! Really'
Maybe 4* is one too much... Very expensive breakfast (€22 per pop); we went 200m to the right and had breakfast at a Paneria in the Cuzco roundabout, total € 21,45... No safe in the rooms (we had a Superior and a Standard), only coffee in the Superior. Wrong choice of TV package (no sports). No restaurant. Room Service; yes. But no drinks on the menu and the waiter had to call back to tell me € 34 for half a bottle of white... No fitness; well, a bike and a few hand weights and a mat... and in general very noicy compared to the AC Cuzco 300m away. Having said that, the service at the reception worked well. I'd take the Cuzco any time...
"Great business hotel"
Stayed here on two occasions and both were great. The wifi has good data rates and is usually included in the room rate. There's good working space in the rooms. The staff speak good English and are very service oriented. I'll continue to stay here anytime I'm in Madrid.
I have been many Times and haven't had à Bad room i actually quite like the mix of slightly retro that it gives. The gym is small with 2 bikes, two running mats, an assisted runner and à few weights but it does the trick even if all is written in spanish (its on the first floor). Food and drinks are small in sélection but good even if à little pricy. Staff mainly speak spanish in bar area but you get by. Breakfast is fine , quite traditional. If you want english then you need à bit of patience. I recommend generally
Staff where friendly and helpful (maybe too helpful, I went to my room and my key was not working and a passing clearer let me in without checking my ID). Normal quality room. Main issue was the AC had to be on max to have any effect and sounded like a hair drier. Maybe it was hot as I was on the top floor. No Marriott lounge but did get free wi fi with my gold card.
