"Perfect for those who like to be in the center of Almeria"
Easy to find by car, one way direction with signs. Private parking at the hotel. Friendly, helpful staff and easy check in. Beautiful sun-area with pool on the roof, with vies to the Alcasaba. We had a very beautiful and romantic room overlooking the Plaza Flores. Breakfast could have been better but we will absolutely stay at thius hotel the next time we go to Almeria.
Very poor wifi in rooms and pool area. Terribly uncomfortable beds with rogue springs digging in and bruising you whilst you try to get through the night. I like a firm mattress but the pavement would have been a softer option here. It was so bad we decided to find another hotel and check out 4 days early, losing all our money but the hotel staff said there was nothing they were able to do about it. Breakfast was good with freshly squeezed orange juice and a little bit of everything. The location is superb but the hotel is very dated And covered with wood panels making it feel very claustrophobic. Would not stay here again or recommend unfortunately.
"Not very Marriott"
Having stayed in this hotel before, we were not surprised at chilly reception staff. They have not been to the Marriott charm school. We were checked in swiftly after a bit of a contretemps About passports or lack of them. Given an upgrade "because the hotel was busy" which was fine .No mention of Marriott membership status making me eligible for upgrade anyway. Room was a double with a sofa.Room was large for Spain.Bathroom has a separate shower and a jacuzzi bath. Bed was comfortable but again ,sorry for harping on about it , not a Marriott bed. Breakfast was included in my rate.Nespresso coffee and a continental buffet which was adequate.Poor selection of fruit and yogurt. Location is great bang in the city centre with parking available in the hotel or in car parks nearby. The public areas in the hotel are soulless and not very inviting, but there are plenty of other options very nearby. There is a great bar in the hotel across the (very small )square.
"Good Location but Poor Amenities & No English channels on TV"
Hotel is decently ok and centrally located but being a Marriott Chain hotel it should comply to some basic International standards. I stayed for 4 days and imagine not even a single English Channels on the TV, dull staff, Zig zag confusing aisle to reach to rooms. Not even a soap case in shower cubicle.
"Modern comfortable rooms in the heart of the city"
Great location, modern rooms, underground parking and a good buffet breakfast. Only fault we could find was the mattress was a tad lumpy and pillows hopeless but for an overnight stop it was exactly what we needed.
