AC Cuzco is located on Paseo de la Castellana, near Plaza de Cuzco and the business and financial center of Madrid, few minutes away from the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, the Congress palace, the Metro station and the bus stop at Plaza Castilla.
I flew to Madrid for a conference recently. As I could not find a room at the hotel where the conference was taking place, I choose the Ac hotel as closed to the venue. I was extremely surprised by the quality of the property, interiors, room and service. Breakfast was good, lots of variety.
"A Good Hotel"
I've been to many hotels and this one certainly is one of the good bunch. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean and reasonably spaced, the price is within reason (Considering its status). My only complaint is that there is no complimentary corner. So, if you are thirsty drink up a small bottle of water from the minibar for 1.5 EUR or take a short walk to the nearest market and buy your needs for a lot less.
"Beautiful, functional, well-located hotel"
A beautiful, modern hotel with tasteful, functional rooms and striking and very functional public spaces. I found several spots to work quite comfortably in the lobby which was quiet despite the space age muzak and pretty steady stream of patrons walking by. The bar and wait staff were nearby. You could call them with some buttons on the tables which was quite welcome, since I just wanted to work and not be interrupted, but wanted to be in a public area. With their very "Euro-style" decor the rooms offer simplicity, comfort and everything you need as a business or leisure traveler. The blonde wood, sliding door storage, and deck-like planking on the floor all harmonize to create a restful mood. Maybe it was because I got an upgraded room, but it was also more spacious than I expected. When I first entered the room, I asked myself "Where is the desk'" And the answer was clear when I thought a little non-traditionally and saw that the blonde wooden oval table and grey chairs worked perfectly! The room also featured a comfortable king bed and a kind of ingenious bath that includes a shower with rain shower head, hand spray and a waterfall spout coming out of one side of the rain head plus a full size tub, all in one space. A real treat. The breakfast buffet included all that you would expect for either an American or Continental preference (other than made-to-order omelets), as well some Spanish touches like their hams and tortillas (like a cross between a frittata and a quiche). And it was all quite good. The well-equipped gym was quiet, so even though it had only two-three of each apparatus (and only one weight machine), it was enough when I went. The AC Cuzco is not in Madrid's historic center, but there are plenty of good restaurants nearby and with the Metro is just steps from the hotel, the city center is only a short 15 minute, no change ride away, so not to worry. When I’m next in Madrid, I will definitely consider the AC Cuzco.
"Great service, great location."
Easy access, very close to metro stations (literally a view steps from the hotel door) and bus stop, not far from city center. Very good food and helpful staff at front desk and concierge. Comfortable room.
"Close to stadium and business area but not for tourist"
Stayed here June 20116. Close to stadium and business area, but not the best location for tourist. It was the Championship League Final when we stayed here, so we didn't get much sleep due to crowd noise all night long till 4 am!! The interior of the hotel is nice and modern, room is nice/clean/modern, comfortable lobby to hang out. There are plenty of places to eat outside the hotel.
