"Good hotel good location especially for football game!"
Nice hotel - very comfortable room (pillows&mattress perfect for a deep sleep!) Bathroom clean and spacious. So many amenities , nice gesture :) love this ball soap! The breakfast buffet is amazing! Great quality, huge variety. Never disappointed by it!! The food at the bar is good but expensive for the small portion. During my stay the hotel had a big leak of water and they had to stop the water on some of the rooms but they were fast giving another room to use the shower Location is perfect for business and football game! And there is the metro station at the corner to reach the city center in few minutes
"Indifferent, and poor"
Modern looking and feeling hotel, but one gets the feeling you are intruding on the peace and quiet of the staff who would rather be somewhere else. Rooms are smallish but clean, the bed was firm with little bounce, mattress felt cheap, the room was warm but unable to control the temp although there was a nice looking temperature controller. Asked for an adapter to recharge my phone in room, it was like asking for a major room renovation. Needless to say, I didn't get it as my request was met with total indifference. Didn't get my wake up call, consequently late to work that morning. Overall this is not a happy experience hotel, you might stay here because you have to, but if you don't.. then don't.
"Very poor business experience "
I'll concede Madrid was busy this week with a big conference and the hotel was rammed. But the whole experience in this hotel is one of a big brand which fails to deliver an acceptable experience for business travellers. The basics are missed. There was no kettle or drinks facilities in my room beyond a minibar. By the second day a kettle was finally delivered to the room so I could make my own tea. But they didn't even bring a cup. When I got a cup, they took that away with the next room clean despite me cleaning it. The water I got from the mini bar and half finished was also removed! The in room tv choices were a load of old toss, unsuited to the hundreds of English speaking guests. The breakfast buffet was like prison slops with stale bread, competition for the coffee machine and eggs that were inedible. Room service stopped at midnight. This is Madrid! Things barely open until midnight!! When I asked for a cup of tea at 12.15am (no kettle you see) I was directed to a cafe over the road!! Check out was equally bonkers as despite the long queues, they couldn't figure out a whole bunch of card transactions and correlating receipts at the same time. Everything seemed like a huge stretch for the staff. And to top it all off, it's really quite expensive!
"Mixed feedback "
PRt of Marriott brand , surprised with little things like no kettle / tea/ coffee , and the tiniest ironing board with taped up wiring on the iron . Friendly staff , modern decor . Would expect a brand like Marriott to pay closer attention to details like ones mentioned above
"Modern Hotel, nothing special"
Our bedroom was small but well laid out. It had good hanging space but minimum shelf space. There is small but adequate work space with sockets and a good desk lamp. Overall the lighting of the bedroom was poor, I dropped a pen on the floor and needed a torch to find it. The bathroom had a feeble shower over the bath. There is a safe and minibar with water soft drinks and beer but no spirits. There is a hairdryer but no tea or coffee making facilities. There is a Metro station close to the hotel entrance.
