"The hotel smells like sewer"
After spending a few days at hotel Claris, we transferred to this hotel. Thinking that it was of the Marriott brand we were excited to go there......not so fast! When you walk in the smell of raw sewage overwhelms you, and it was this way all three nights so it was not a passing phase. As for the food you ask' Well the restaurant is only open for breakfast, and a hefty priced one for what you get. The meats were spoiled in my opinion, which most would think that aged meats would tend to smell this way, but these were just off tasting and had that "left out too long in the heat" smell to them. As for the front desk, well good luck finding the people, they are always hiding in their office, perhaps they have something in there that makes things smell better' Marriott should step their game up with this dump.
"Great hotel to use for business and pleasure"
This hotel situated in the city of Barcelona is not only well situated but offers excellent facilities for the business and pleasure traveler alike. Well appointed and great facilities it ticks all the boxes
We have stayed here seven days while touring the city for our second time. The hotel is not quite what you would expect from a Marriott product. However it has met our requirements. Pros are that their standard rooms are easily cleaned because of the lack of rugs and minimal furniture. No coverlet...just a duvet which can be removed and cleaned every day. You receive packaged amenities like a package of tissues with four in it. There was ample hair shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, body lotion and shower jell. Plenty of hot water. Small but adequate exercise room, and small breakfast room. As for the cons, there were no ice buckets so we had to request ice be brought up for an injury. They were very efficient and brought it right up. No coffee, clock radios, and too few hangers for a week stay. Coffee in lobby though. We asked for a quiet room. Room 402 is not quiet. It is situated over a traffic light so that you are hearing stop and go traffic in particular loud motorcycles and trucks. Lasts into the evening and starts early in the morn. We asked for an up grade because we are permanent Platinum members and did not get it. We used a five and 2 day transportation pass for getting around. Used it to take a train from the airport to the main train station and caught a taxi there to hotel. Nearest metro is a 15 min. walk to Hospital Clinic metro station. If you want fair value, cleanliness and efficiency, then this is it. If you expect luxury then this is not for you.
"Ok hotel with reasonably good location"
I stayed here for 3 nights. Staff was pleasant, rooms were clean. This hotel would be improved by using Marriott beds instead of whatever they've got now. That being said, this place is perfectly fine and located in a safe, yet vibrant neighborhood.
"Nice hotel in BCN"
Small room but comfortable. Breakfast included. No bar or dinner on site but many options close by. Part of the Marriott group. Very helpful front desk staff. Close to shopping and the various city tour bus stops.
