Very nice hotel, clean and hospitable. Walking distance to all the local points of interest and night life. Right on the shore, so very nice walks along the sea were enjoyable. Great for jogging and biking with wonder views.Comment of G. Thomas , United States the 2015-01-19
"Pleasant stay, good experience, first time in Nice !"
To start off the hotel it's easy to reach from the airport and it's good connected. Impressive lobby ,cozy restaurant, clean rooms(changed 2 rooms as the account units weren't working both on cold or hot )clean bathroom and an excellent bed to sleep. Loved the big TV with lots of channels to watch. Breakfast was also tasty and rich in choices and loved the Nespresso machine. Downsides: the only staff members smiling and being genuinely nice were the cleaners, waiters and Mr Fahat the concierge who was absolutely brilliant, helped us with info about the carnival, gave us water and treats to our son and us and being genuinely a cool guy to talk and bond.the reception was dreadfully such a bad attitude and grumpy face the blonde receptionist and the breakfast lady this kind she was in charge giving horrible looks to everyone including staff ...gosh, get a life lady !!!! În general the management staff comes with bad attitude and grumpy faces and horrible manners but if you manage to skip them then your experience it's NICE :)) ahhh forgot to mention that the gym is small and outdated the equipment is not balanced or checked careful for injuries 👍
"Just right for our mini break exploring Nice - breakfast included was an added bonus"
This hotel is not at the centre of things, but is just off the promenade (literally 1 minute) and provides easy access to everything Nice has to offer within a short walk. 10 minutes to old town, 20 mins to the railway station. There is also a great bus system around Nice if that's a little too far for you that stops practically outside. There were also quite a few restaurants, bars and little kiosk shops nearby. Arrival and check in went smoothly: rooms were ready so didn't have to wait until the scheduled check-in time which was a bonus, so we could begin our sight seeing straight away. We had a deluxe king, which had a side view of the ocean. The rooms are modern, minimalistic, but offer all the essential creature comforts - TV, writing desk, mini fridge. Bathroom likewise - with Shower gel, soap, shampoo and hairdryer, although I noted the shower was positioned quite low. I would imagine not that great if you are above average height. Beds were comfortable which I have come to expect in Marriott locations. Our rate included breakfast, which turned out to be a great value for us. It offered a selection of typical cold continental choices - ham, cheese, pastries, breads, jam and fruit etc, with cereals and yoghurts too. There were also hot options - mushrooms, mini hash brown styled potato cakes, bacon with the option to boil your own egg. The nespresso machine was particularly popular with us. Although not your typical tourist styled hotel - with no racks of local information or leaflets, the front desk staff were helpful with bus routes and maps of the area. The consiege even offered to loan us an umbrella on a rainy morning. Overall this was the perfect option for us and provided a great base from which to explore Nice and the surrounding area. We took the Nice food and wine tour - highly recommended, train to Monte Carlo and Antibes - both fabulous spots, and bus to the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild at Villefranche - which provided an insight to a by-gone era. We ate at a different restaurant each night - mainly in the old town, or just on its periphery, enjoying the short stroll back to hotel along the promenade. All of which I have reviewed separately if you're interested to read more of our thoughts from this trip. My kids never believe people actually read my reviews, so please help me prove them wrong and let me have your helpful vote if you found this review useful.
"Nice hotel "
I stayed for 1 night at this hotel Nice hotel nice location too friendly stff Breakfst was good 21euros Room was clean . The neighborhood is very quiet and out of the way, perfect for relaxing, and walking all over Nice to sight-see. I would stay again.
Well we enjoyed our stay here the staff was as helpful as they cud be coz it was Christmas Day. Nice is a tourist friendly destination and it seemed safe and unique. A must do was Monaco which was about half an hour away...
"One of the best hotel beds to sleep"
This hotel was good to stay. Room was clean and big. Bed was one of the best hotel beds ever to sleep. View to sea was great from our room. Breakfast was better than average in Southern Europe. Location could be better, but is good enough in Nice.
