AC Torino hotel is located in front of the Lingotto trade fair centre, just 300 meters from the nearest bus stop, 4km from the railway station, 5km from the city centre and 25km far from the Airport.
"Stylish hotel close to Lingotto"
The hotel is a smartly converted factory in a pretty urban landscape. That said it is stylish as others have said and we enjoyed our two nights there. The room was large and very comfortable, although the chest of drawers did not seemed to sag a bit so that one drawer had to be lifted for another to close, and more importantly, though it was not a problem for us, the sound insulation was not particularly good either. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant, and had breakfast one morning. For the other breakfast we ate in a nearby cafe, which was also good.
"Good hotel a bit further away"
Simply as a hotel this would be four stars. Location and the wifi drop it to three. Built in an on old factory, it has a certain character that the Marriott hotels usually lack. (The whole name of the hotel is AC Hotel Torino by Marriott.) Location isn't perfect. There are some restaurants and food stores nearby but if you want to go to the center it's a walk + metro (5-6 stops). In, say, London that would be very central but not in Turin. Next to the hotel there's a parking lot and a small playground where the local teenagers spent their night drinking. The staff was polite and overall ok - nothing special but nothing bad either. There was a conference going on when we entered, lots of people everywhere in the lobby and public areas. The upper floors were silent and nice. Our room was big, modern and clean. I especially liked the beautiful bathroom and the huge bath tub! Food from the room service was ok but nothing special. The free wifi works only in the lobby unless you register and get a (free) membership card.
Visiting my daughter, I wanted to use Marriott points so I stayed at this hotel. I did not have very high expectation on the location nor the hotel, but I was extremely pleased with both. The hotel is around the corner from the original Eataly which is a much visit while in Turin. The hotel was very nice and the service was excellent. I will stay here again on my next visit to Turin.
"Stylish modern hotel in a beautifully converted old building"
This was our base for two nights exploring Turin. The location is good, within easy walking distance of a metro stop, and two minutes walk from Eataly and the Other Lingotto attractions. Stylish minimalist public areas prepare you well for equally stylish modern "business traveller" rooms. Price is fair, and breakfast a simple but decent buffet. All round a good choice, with parking available if you need it, and easy Metro access if not.
"Close to Lingotto area and Fiat Museum, not far from Metro"
Nice hotel with good breakfast included with my package, for very fair rate. Not the loveliest place from exterior but rooms are very comfortable, modern and very clean. Metro was not far and easy to understand. We used it to visit the Shroud of Turin site, and to take in a lovely museum and sculpture park that had an installation of large brown bears on the perimeter. AC Torino has large lovely rooms and Eataly is just a couple of blocks away for a quick bite or lovely gourmet shopping. I cannot give high marks to the dining room, however, despite a nice breakfast buffet. We ate there only once. My partner's entree was served very much after mine. I ordered a mushroom-pasta dish that arrived immediately, stone cold. Very unappetizing. There was a large group of athletes of some sort, dining in the large room. I wondered if mushroom pasta had been on their menu and I'd been served some long leftovers. The public areas of the hotel are modern and sleek with nice furnishings. Helpful desk and good fortune to find nearby street parking - thus avoiding a large nightly fee in the hotel parking - left us fairly happy with AC Torino.
