AC Torino hotel is located in front of the Lingotto trade fair centre, just 300 meters from the nearest bus stop, 4km from the railway station, 5km from the city centre and 25km far from the Airport.
"Close to Lingotto area and Fiat Museum, not far from Metro"
Nice hotel with good breakfast included with my package, for very fair rate. Not the loveliest place from exterior but rooms are very comfortable, modern and very clean. Metro was not far and easy to understand. We used it to visit the Shroud of Turin site, and to take in a lovely museum and sculpture park that had an installation of large brown bears on the perimeter. AC Torino has large lovely rooms and Eataly is just a couple of blocks away for a quick bite or lovely gourmet shopping. I cannot give high marks to the dining room, however, despite a nice breakfast buffet. We ate there only once. My partner's entree was served very much after mine. I ordered a mushroom-pasta dish that arrived immediately, stone cold. Very unappetizing. There was a large group of athletes of some sort, dining in the large room. I wondered if mushroom pasta had been on their menu and I'd been served some long leftovers. The public areas of the hotel are modern and sleek with nice furnishings. Helpful desk and good fortune to find nearby street parking - thus avoiding a large nightly fee in the hotel parking - left us fairly happy with AC Torino.
"Good Location for Lingotto Oval and Congress Centre"
Trade show at Lingotto and this was well appointed if not cheap within 10 minute walk for business. Rooms OK and service acceptable, didn't eat in hotel as we had functions but plenty of good options locally. Very handy for the Eataly Lingotto if you want to stock up or dine at the well known Turin branded Cafe / deli outlet.
"Well appointed, 10 minutes away from the City Centre in a relatively run down neighbourhood"
I booked this hotel through my reward points - seamless booking with very flexible conditions. The hotel is a 5 stop (8 min) train journey away from Porta Nuova, the city centre rail and metro station. While the neighbourhood seems a bit run down and the hotel exterior is not exactly magnificent, the interiors are comfortable and very well kept. The rooms are excellent, quite spacious and with quality fittings. The music system was definitely a good touch and the quality of the bedding and toiletries was top notch. The room also had a sofa and a working desk - definitely very helpful. I will recommend this hotel for the quality of its rooms if you are not terribly concerned about staying in the city centre.
The amenities are good, my room was spacious and at a very nice, modern, standard. Service was also very good - my welcome gift (for platinum status) was excellent! The best in any hotel so far. The only downside is that the hotel is far from the centre so it might not suit everyone. Must say that being just behind Eataly is fantastic though (love that place). If it would be located nearer the centre this place would be simply fantastic.
"Good hotel if you don't need to be in City Centre"
The hotel is next to Eataly and the Lingotto shopping mall and in an area not subject to the restrictive traffic rules of the city center. It's a modern hotel with no real wow factor but it's solid. Breakfast is quite good, WiFi is free. I recommend it for business travellers, but tourists may want to stay closer to the center or in a neighborhood with more restaurants.
