"Disagree with Realtravelasia"
I don’t think that Realtravelasia understands how the room functions and he is wrong on some points. First the mattress doesn’t “fold” up. Fold is to bend and this is a decent mattress on a platform that flips up. It isn’t like a “pull out couch” where it is indeed difficult to have a decent mattress. We thought it was fine and we sleep on a Tempur-Pedic memory foam mattress at home. The whole point of the bed platform that can be flipped up is to convert from a bedroom configuration to a living room configuration. With the bed flipped up (takes two or three minutes at the most), you have a decent couch to sit on. He also didn’t notice that nested under the desk there is a table for two dine at. And there is a folding chair to use at the table. I don’t think it is important that the floor is laminate. It is important that it is clean and the whole apartment is spotless. Accor should better explain its cleaning policy. If you stay 7, or is it 8 nights, you get one cleaning with fresh towels and sheets which you can schedule when during your stay you want. That’s more than most people have at home. Also I was quoted 13 not 18 euro for an extra cleaning. The washing and drying machines are not cheap, they never are in Europe. But his comment of it being more expensive than buying new clothes than at C&A is highly exaggerated. Certainly more than at the Berlin C&A or even at a C&A in a low cost Asian country. Also, a Raddison in Berlin is certainly more expensive and it doesn’t provide a decent kitchen which is nice just for snacks and drinks and maybe to make a sandwich. Although, I do not think that the breakfast is worth the price. This is often the case in Europe. Anyhow, I’d rather go to the very nice supermarket a half block away and have what I want for breakfast in the privacy of my room without having to get dressed and go down to the breakfast room. Again the advantage of having a kitchen. If you don’t agree with what I say, then you should stay in a regular hotel. I should also mention that there is no traffic noise since this hotel sits behind the Abba Hotel and not on a busy street. My rating is comparing this hotel to other similar properties and not compared to the Ritz.
"Apartments for families"
Apartments. Suitable for families and groups of travelers. Apartment with one bedroom suitable for a family with two children. Inside the apartment there is a fully equipped kitchen. There is a possibility of breakfast at the hotel. Very close to convenient public transportation. Close to two supermarkets. Found in upscale shops and department stores.
"Our Home in Berlin"
This was our 6th or 7th stay at Adagio Berlin Kurfurstendamm. We love the friendly atmosphere. The personell behind the desk is no exception. Lovely people. The room are not luxurious but most comfortable. The bed (double) has a first-class mattress. We value the little but well equipped kitchen where we make our breakfast every morning. Most important for us. Next year we return as usual. We like to close the summer season in the exciting Berlin. And staying at the Adagio Berlin makes it a perfect base. We warmly recommend the hotel.
"Home from home"
Booked this as we had stayed at a Adagio facility in Geneva previously. This Berlin location did not disappoint. very nice property. The room was great and nicely commissioned. The star were very helpful and all spoke english. I wouldnrt hesitate to recommend this hotel to other people who like the idea of having a little bit of self reliance with facilities that allow you to cook if you so desire. Well done to the staff of this hotel they can be proud,
"You're better off choosing a hotel"
It's small, so don't let the word apartment fool you - the studio have no seating ( except a desk chair), and there are no other space to sit unless you fold up the bed; which brings me to the next low point- you cannot fit a decent quality mattress in a fold up!,! When you do put the bed up, the cheap laminate flooring shows its true colors, and the rips in the floor appears; it ain't the Ritz! If you want business channels in English while in Berlin, you're in luck, there's 3 of them, and BBC- not exactly a wide range in a property at this price level. Also remember, it's an apartment, so no daily cleaning, unless you pay 18 euros, thank you very much! We had a look at breakfast, and opted out- unimpressive. On the bright side the bathroom is of a reasonable size, and they've managed to get in a nearly full size fridge, should you wish to fill up with food and drinks- you might want to go across the street to fill up though.. There are a quite decent kitchen in the room, which would be great, if there were a place to sit and eat. They also have a laundry, which is nice, except that it almost cost the same to wash and dry as to buy new clothes in C&A. Staff is pleasant, which takes this from a terrible to poor, and for the price, there are so many better options in Berlin! Now, management might respond with sorry, we welcome you back and yadah, yadah, yadah, but rest assured that this is not a grand option for the price, you can get the radisson (and others) cheaper, and they even offer seating in your room!
