"Excellent place and location"
Great attention, well located, well equiped and the hotel was really nice. Near the metro and the main point of interest. We Will come back to the hotel if we return to Berlin. Clean and good breakfast.
"Home away from home"
The hotel was in a great location and was very comfortable. Very convenient to public transportation, tourist sites, shopping, and a grocery store. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and comfortable.
"Excellent place to stay when visiting Berlin"
I was really impressed by the Adina Apartment Hotel Berlin Checkpoint Charlie. It is always really hard to know what to expect, but we booked a superior room (which included breakfast in the price), which was very comfortable, had a small balcony, a kitchenette, a bathroom with washing machine and tumble dryer, a bedroom with twin beds pushed together to make a double and a single bed in the main sitting room for our teenage son (6'4"). The beds were comfortable, the linen good, the room was serviced daily and there was a hairdryer, liquid soap by the sink and in the shower, complimentary body lotion and 4 milk pots in the fridge and a few sachets of tea and coffee. These didn't get replaced after the first couple of days. The towels are not large or fluffy but certainly adequate and they will be replaced on request. The room was large and had a comfortable sofa and chair plus a dining table that would just fit four. My advice would be to take a tea towel and a small amount of washing up liquid, although there is a large Lidl about 3 minutes walk into the next street for milk etc. You can buy washing powder tabs for just under a Euro from the hotel if you don't bring any, and two dishwasher tablets came free in a cupboard above the sink, with some liquid to clean worktops and a sponge. Breakfast was great - although at just under 20 euros if not included, it would be expensive, but there was a good selection of continental and cooked foods with breaks and lovely fruit. Easy to help yourself and stock up to keep going until an early dinner with just cake and coffee in the interim! It is about 5 minutes walk from the Stattmitte U-bhahn, which has an entrance at the end of the road and isn't as far as the maps show. The U-bahn is underground and the S-bahn is overground. Very easy to find your way round and about an hour from Schonefeld airport by train. We ate in the Lowenbrau on the same street as the Lidl, as a typical beer hall and had very good weiner snitzel / pork knuckle. We stayed over Easter 2017 and overlooked abandoned road works and so didn't have any issues with noise, but if you can specify a room on a different side you might be happier. We would recommend an Avator walking tour (4 hours of information about Berlin) and also a boat trip and the Zoo - we had a great time and found it an excellent and very quiet and cosy place to be based. We would definitely stay there again. My son used the pool (which he said was a great temperature), the gym and the sauna.
Nice hotel in nice location, restaurant staff should be more friendly and polite, fol-out sofa in living room should be more comfortable for sleeping, very well equipped kitchen corner. Room was clean.
"Great hotel for a family city break"
The hotel is in an excellent location with all main sights within walking distance. My wife, younger son and I stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was very well laid out and large for city accommodation. Importantly for us, my son had his own sleeping area with a separate television. The kitchen area had everything that we needed and there were a couple of supermarkets nearby for fresh croissants etc.. It was extremely quiet and comfortable and hotel staff were very friendly. This hotel was recommended by a friend and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.
