"Well run hotel with Large Rooms"
We chose this hotel due to its location and its rave reviews on tripadviser. Set in a residential area, It is equally close to the u-bahn stations at Stadtmitte and checkpoint charlie, around a 10 minute walk. There arent a great deal of bars around this area, so if you are on a boozy weekend this is probably not the best location to stay, but for sightseeing as we were it was great. The hotel has great kerb appeal, very clean and well maintained with the hotel bar easily noticable through floor to celing glass. Checkin was very smooth by the cheerful and friendly receptionist, we arrived before midday and our room was ready which was a nice suprise. The reception area is well layed out with clear access to the bar area and a public computer for guests to use. We did ask reception to change some money but they said that they dont offer that service. We used banks and money exchange offices but all charged a extortianate rate of commission. We discovered that cash machines give a great rate and only charge a small fee. The bedroom was a lovely suprise, the aparthotel is a great idea, it was a huge room with a kitchenette, sofa , lots of wardrobe space, safe and a huge LED TV. There was a decent hairdrier and an ironing board and iron, which is a rare suprise in a european hotel. Housekeeping and maintainance was flawless in rooms, bathroom and comunal areas. There is a nice gym, pool, jacuzzi and sauna in the basement. This is an unattended space accessable by the room card. The leisure area is clean and well kept, although the pool was very cold, we only got as far as putting a foot in but we did watch a couple enter the pool with a loud shrill !! The jacuzzi was a tad warmer but not as warm as it should be. The sauna was small but nice, turned on by a time switch on the outside. I tried to find a water fountain but couldnt find one, there was a water butt in the gym but it was empty. Breakfast was included in the price of our room, i suspect that most residents eat breakfast out of their kitchens in the rooms as it was never too busy. It wasnt the best breakfast ive ever had but was passable. A small array of eggs, bacon and sausage, nice croissant and pastries, fruit and cereal. My only gripe was that the orange juice wasnt very nice and there were no hot plates for hot food unless you were lucky to get one fresh from the washer. The bar-resteraunt area was very pleasant, we had a beer and a cocktail which was good and not expensive, they do have a happy hour between 17.00- 19.00.
"Great hotel for great time !"
In the heart of Berlin, next to Stadtmitte U-Bahn. The perfect place for a week-end. The description of the internet website to book the room was right. We had no bad surprise. We had only good time at this hotel.
This was our third visit to the Adina check point charlie, we could not keep going back if it was not good. We also like the location, central to the tourist sights. The room was very quiet, the bed was comfortable.
"A great getaway"
We stayed at this hotel, mainly as a result of reviews and the location. We had a lovely room, well maintained and it had everything we needed. We used the swimming pool every evening after a long day walking and relaxed in the jacuzzi to soak away the aches! Breakfast was very good each morning, a good choice and plentiful in nice surroundings. All the staff were very helpful and always made the effort to speak whenever they were passing. The rail stations were nearby and whilst we did walk miles it was handy having the metro so close to the hotel when we went out in the evening or to get to the airport etc. A joy of a stay and I would recommend.
Stayed here for a 4 day visit to Berlin and has a excellent choice. The location is good. We choose a apartment with a kitchen and living room. Spacious and very well equipped. The staff where friendly and quick to reply. Very good value for the service
