I stayed at Crystal Towers it was good but to a limit my bedroom was not fitted with an air conditioner so it was really hot at night. Another problem is that they do not have room service on one night my family and i were really hungry so we called reception and asked if they could deliver anything to eat and we would pay for but they said we had to go downstairs and collect it which was very uncomfortable for us. And we had booked a van to to go to the airport because of all our luggage we payed 500 Rands for it then they convinced us to take 2 small taxis which was disappointing. And their hotel was not equipped with a swimming pool. Maybe if they could improve a little it would be good and i would stay at this hotel again.
Spent 11 nights at this amazing hotel. It has to be one of our hotel experiences. Our room had a stunning view of the mountain. The night lights were beautiful and we slept with the curtains open most nights. The breakfast, staff and service were top notch with all .staff going out of their way to ensure guests' needs were well catered for.we booked a Winelands Tour with Chris and he was an amazing and very knowledgeable tour guide. Will definitely be returning to Crystal Towers.
"Excellent dining ended badly."
On Saturday me and my friend came for a fine dining experience at the towers hotel. I was a little disappointed when I found out that they do not have a set menu, but we ended up having a excellent dining experience with excellent service. However when we left the hotel and wanted to exit the parking lot, we had a lot of trouble. I pressed the help button for assistance as we did not receive a ticket when we came in. When I told the lady on the other end what my problem was she told me that I was lying and hung up. When we pushed the button again she refused to open for us or to let us just pay. After a long struggle a attendant opened for us and we could leave. We were very disappointed in this frustrating ending to a beautiful night. Everything else was on point though. Well done to all restaurant staff.
"Half price sushi Thursday - robbed"
Thursday night Sushi special at the Marriot Pool bar is not that special. Half price advertised and you are presented with a menu (looks like a normal menu) read the very small print pointing out that this is the already discounted menu. Most expensive sushi in Cape Town!!!!! Not pointed out when seated. Rip OFF. Can't say I will be back
"Expected a lot more for the premium room rate"
I've been staying in Marriott hotels for a while now and put a lot of expectation in Crystal Towers as it came so highly recommended. First of the cost of the room is R3500 with breakfast. Not cheap. Booked on the app to earn the rewards, but they didn't have my booking when I checked in. Even though I was asked to check in the day before online. When I tried to get a takeaway coffee from the shop I couldn't as I didn't have any credit on my account! After prepaying the room upfront and they have all my credit card information I wasn't allowed to charge anything to my room! The minibar is empty. Room is interestingly decorated. Not my style. Pics attached. It appears small because of the layout. Even the JW Marriott Marquis in Dubai is cheaper per night and you get a much better experience. Sorry but I will not recommend the hotel! Satellite TV quality is below terrestrial quality so don't expect to watch movies or anything in HD. Not possible with the low quality signal and TV installed in the room.
