"Exceptional stay - incredibly attentive staff, convenient location and perfect for families!"
Just finished a two night stay at Hotel Aiglon and couldn't be more satisfied with our hotel selection. We are a family of 5 and one of the challenges of traveling in Europe is finding hotels that can accommodate us without having to purchase two connecting rooms (effectively doubling the price). Fortunately, Hotel Aiglon offers "the apartment" on the 1st floor (2nd floor for you Americans). Consisting of two rooms, sleeping a total of 5, the apartment provided ample space for us to stretch out. As others have commented, the rooms are downright huge by Paris standards. Even though the hotel's on a relatively busy street, the rooms are extremely quiet. The only noise we heard in the morning came from the restaurant on the same floor and even that was minimal. From the heated towel racks in the bathrooms to the high quality toiletries, no detail was overlooked. The hotel's conveniently located right next to a metro stop so all of Paris is at your doorstep. If you have children, be sure to walk over to the Luxembourg Gardens and rent the vintage toy boats for them. For €3.50, each child can rent one for a half hour. Our kids rated it as their favorite thing in Paris (so much for the Lourve!). What truly sets this property apart though is the staff. Whether it was coordinating transportation to the airport, making dinner reservations, storing our luggage or answering our questions, the staff did it all with a smile. The nicest touch - coloring books of Paris for the kids upon arrival. We will absolutely stay here again. Thank you to everyone at the Hotel Aiglon for such a wonderful visit!
"Nice hotel in a good position"
Good accueil, pleasant position near the Metro. Only there the one night and my room was fine but fairly small so I perhaps did not fall in love with the place as much as some other contributors. Still there was nothing I didn't like.
"Lovely hotel. Staff absolutely fantastic "
Stayed for three nights with husband and 5 month old baby. The room was a very good size, nice toiletries, large bath tub, small area for tea/coffee and wardrobe. Bed was large and comfortable. Everything was very clean. Staff were the highlight of the hotel. Very accommodating, excellent with children. Can't remember the lady's name at reception but she was wonderful. Prem was very helpful, offering to take my bags down to the lobby for me and even offering me tea/coffee/milk for my baby whilst I waited in the lobby for my husband to return from a meeting after checking out.
"Excellent service, very good rooms"
I stayed four nights in a Superior room with a lovely view of the city street (4th floor). The "room" was pretty spacious for a Paris and in good shape. The main bathroom (shower and bath, window) was in one room and the commode (window) in the other. Connecting these to the main bedroom was a small hallway. It seems like this space was a small studio apartment at one time. Perfectly fine for a 4 star hotel. Service was very good and the front desk almost always greeted me with a smile in the morning and on my return at night. Didn't have breakfast, but it was available in a separate dining space. Room service is available, but I didn't partake. I did go to the restaurant that provides the food for the room service (Le Petit Broc) and the food there was very good. Cleaning services was fine. Bathroom products were better than expected. Compared to a Marriott or Hilton, I would saw the bathroom products were a small step above. Towels were large and fluffy. Location is very good. 2 minutes from Raspail metro. 10 min walk or one metro stop from the RER B. Very much enjoyed the neighborhood and while there are plenty of tourist friendly things to do around there, I didn't feel too overwhelmed by tourists. If I were to be critical... Elevator is small and slow (but it is not a big hotel so I rarely had to wait for the elevator). There is a touch of a budget feel, but overall this is a very good hotel.
"Loved this hotel"
Very friendly staff at this updated, boutique hotel. It has everything you need in a great location. Would recommend for singles or couples! The bed was very comfortable and we loved the shower as well.
