A fantastic hotel, the room was very nice. Would have preferred a sea view but that said and done, very very nice.Comment of H. Neil , United Arab Emirates the 2014-06-16

"Great hotel - but 5* service lacking"
We stayed here for 3 nights over my birthday with our 3yo and 1 yo. Let me start with the positives: - our room was beautifully furnished, large with great bathroom, balcony and stunning views. - Everything is absolutely immaculate - swimming pools, landscaping, restaurants, you name it. - There are gondola style boats taking you from one end of the resort to the other, which was a great hit, especially with the kids. - Free access to Wild Wadi Water park (which the kids were still a bit too small for) - The amazing kids club and kids water play area, which was just fantastic!!! - The out-of-this-world amazing brunch!!! The negatives: - We booked with Virtuoso, which includes a room upgrade (upon availability) and when we arrived, they had prepared a room without upgrade (even though available) so we then had to wait 1 hour for everything to be ready in the new room in the middle of the night. - Room service was generally slow and it took up to an hour for them to respond to an request, even though they had been told it was urgent. - The service at breakfast can be quite slow at times and it gets very busy so one morning had to wait for a table. Tip: Try the Chinese Restaurant, the food was amazing.
"Excellent and unique experience"
We had a wonderful stay. To be highlighted: Club Executive Lounge Teamleader Mr. Romano Hoffman was hositing us at its best! Very helpful team. Beach a liitle bit crowed due to high season. Very nice site with water canals.
"Lovely ambience "
We had heard great things about the high tea offered at this hotel and so decided to give it a try - we weren't disappointed. The hotel is absolutely beautiful inside and the staff are extremely welcoming. High tea was amazing. The presentation and quality of food was fabulous. Endless supply of food and drinks. Every mouthful was a delight. We sat outside so we had lovely views of the sea and the burj hotel. We are now looking to stay at this hotel for our next trip. Cost of high tea was 225 dirham per person. Definitely worth it but make sure you have an appetite as there is lots of food to try.
"Place is beautiful but....."
Can't fault the hotel everything is perfect and staff are very friendly. The location is perfect too close to all the mains ttractions. One thing though is that we came back one night to find our room door was open and we knew for a fact we had not left it open. In order for it to stay open you need to catch it on the latch. We reported it when we got back and after a couple of hours security got back to his to inform us nothing was seen on the cameras. I found that strange and asked could I see the cameras myself. I was told 'NO' I accepted that. I then asked for the room key scan in times to be shown and this is were I found it very strange. First we were shown the time so was told the time on the scan is not the correct time but it showed that someone had scanned to our room @11.10pm. This was after the security advised us that on the camera we had left the room at 10.40pm. You can make your own assessment on that but I feel we were lied to by the security. We left the next day and was told by a manger that he would personally look into it and drop me an email.. still no email to this day.
