"Oh where do I start!"
Location- is good. A little further down from main town but, good location. Grounds- (common areas) as pictured. Pool is lovely. Lots of steps. Room- I think the photos will tell all. Horrible!! When we arrived no one helped is with our bags they just sat there. Reception gave us our key and told us to go to our room and wait for the guy to arrive to pay. We were not given the room we paid for online. We're told we were upgraded. The place was dirty, mold in kitchen, smelled of sewer and mold but the have "Chanel" in the diffuser so they obviously know there is an issue. No black out curtain in living where our daughter was to sleep. Black out curtain in bedroom was not wide enough to cover the window. Cabinet and bath hardware loose or missing. Master TV no remote did not work. Living tv had porn on when my daughter turned it on, she turned it off and we could not change the channel. Patio door lock broken, 2nd lock in front door broken, toilet was horrible and appeared to have crap smeared on the walk by toilet. I could go on and on but, I think the pictures will say it all. We paid cash for first night and by the the grace of god found a wonderful place closer to the action.
"Nice staff, pretty cool penthouse 306 "
When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to find 2-5 gallon water bottles left for us (one less thing to purchase). The condo is very nice, terrace with pool beautiful. Be aware though, the beds are hard as rocks! Worst sleep I've had in any hotel! Woke up in pain every morning. The condo is equipped with pretty much everything you'd need for a week. T.P. Was abundant but you should use the local grocery delivery (loqsea) to have groceries delivered when you get there- great service! Don't go overboard though, you're close to Fifth Ave. and enough restaurants to keep anyone busy for months! We ate somewhere different every lunch and dinner, never repeated. The staff at BRIC rental were lovely and helpful, even got a welcome bag. Had to stop there prior to condo for keys and check in. Even hosted a cocktail reception in their garden that night! Be sure to use their van service from airport. He dropped us at BRIC to take are of business and then onto condo. He was back for our trip back to the airport at the exact time they said he would. As a whole - lovely vacation except for rock hard beds.
"Great location! Some things needs attention. Lot of noise construction!!!"
Location top!! Website pictures looks better than it was. Looks that some things are 'tired' (toilet sitting, toilet flushing, a bit of sewer air in appartment/bedroom, sliding doors, locks on doors, old dirt in corners and behind fridge....etc For the high price for the penthouse needs some things attention!! Booked an penthouse with terras with pool etc. paid a lot of money but we needed a few days rest and sun,,all the way from the netherlands so we hoped it was worth the money. But it wasn't......could not stay at our nice roof because of the construction noise from the hotel self and neighbour hotel which is build now. See/hear my films. And the hotel didn't warn us in advance for this noise!! Then we would never booked this. Not for that price. We think they should offer an credit for this. Noise was from 8.30 - 18.00. Some rooftop terrases were renovated next to us, it was like laying on an construction site. When travelling such a long way, this was really dissapointing!!!
"Great staff at The Aldea Thai Luxury Condohotel"
We stayed a week at the hotel, right next to the beach, and in the center of the town. Our room were very good, big, bright and comfortable. The great and service oriented staff, made our stay really joyfull. Everytime we needed something, they could provide it, and with a big smile. :-) They were all very nice; but I were mostly in contact with Karina, Dieter and Christopher. :-)
"Room for improvement but overall a nice place."
We were here for a bachelorette party a few weeks ago and overall we had a great time but there is room for improvement. Check in was great however I hate how they tell you how they will charge you for everything if you lose a towel or a key or a bracelet. This is a first for me and was put off by it. The rooms were great however we asked for rooms to be close together and they gave us the two rooms what were the farthest away from each other. Room 221 and 320.... completely opposite side of the hotel. The hotel is a maze so a map would have been nice and also the ppl working here were not very helpful with telling us where our room was. The rooms were clean and roomy, one had a roof terrace with a pool which was nice. The rooms had kitchens with everything you need. Tupperware would have been nice to have so you can make a salad or something and actually store it. Speaking of groceries.... the hotel website advertises grocery service.... we emailed them about it and sent us a list and told us to email our list back and they would take care of it for us (add 15%) and when we got there they told us they were short staffed and could not get the groceries so we had to go ourselves which was annoying. Take that service off the site if you're not offering it. This place was located in a nice area, lots of construction going on but can't help it. Would come back but would check other places first. I was not wowed. Definitely maps need to be given for the room location and don't charge for every little thing.... at least give us complementary coffee!
