"Relaxing hideaway you won't want to leave"
The location, rooms and service here were fantastic. It is 30 mins from Bariloche but well worth it if you're looking for somewhere more tranquil and pretty. Views of the lake from the property's jetty are spectacular, and the pool/spa while fairly basic, is a nice addition. You can ask for eggs your way at breakfast. The lunch and two evening meals we had in the restaurant were also very good quality. It's also very close to other excellent restaurants we tried, Il Gabbiano and Rincon Patagonia. Hire a car. We were so relaxed at the Aldebaran we often mused over what it would be like to move in over a glass of malbec on our balcony!
"A true gem!"
We just stayed at the Aldebaran this month and it was a fabulous three days. It is a small boutique hotel with just 10 rooms. Our room was huge, the amenities were perfect, the view was to die for. Their chef is outstanding, the best food we had in all of Argentina. The staff was always over the top in helping us out with any questions or transportation that we might need. They have a lovely spa area with a pool and jacuzzi that we made good use of. The pool was really warm! I highly recommend it.
"confortable as home"
Aldebaran is a small boutique hotel. My wife and I stayed there for only two nights Service was impecable. The restaurant is very good. Food options are varied bearing in mind the size of the hotel. We were located in a room on the main floor facing the lake. Un fortunatelly, trees have grown and the view to the lake is only partial. But the room was good in size and interior design felt comfortable. I forgot my laptop charger. When contacted, personnel responded immediately and the charger was ready for me when I pciked it up two days later. Relationship between price and quality seems very good. I would recommend it for couples or small families with grown up kids.
"Amazing stay in a quiet place "
The hotel is located about 20kms out of Bariloche and is very close to the Circuito Chico. It is not on the main road, you need to drive a couple of kms (the last km on gravel) to reach its hidden location, hanging on the mountain and overlooking the lake. Everything has been perfect since the beginning. Professional and warm checkin, we have been given a quick overview of the facilities available in the hotel and the other services offered. The room (we were in room 1) was very large, with a small balcony overlooking the lake and a very large bathroom. There is a safe, lots of storage and tv + hifi. Everything was very clean. I appreciated them not being stingy with shampoo etc as a large number of toiletries was provided. There is no fridge and this could have been a nice addition. A nice touch was two bottles of water which were left every night in the room. The hotel has a restaurant open every night 20-23 and the dining room overlooks the lake as well (I believe all the guest rooms overlook the lake). We have not eaten at the restaurant so I cannot judge the quality. In the same room we had breakfast, which was rich and complete. Many sweets, cakes, cookies, a bit less on the savoury side (e.g. no eggs, bacon). There is also a spa with a sauna, a jacuzzi and an inside/outside pool. The hotel does not have many rooms so we enjoyed everything without a sense of overcrowding. This has been possibly the best stay of our holiday. All the staff is extremely well trained in knowing how to deal with guests in an intimate luxury hotel. Recommended!
"Excellent hotel, very friendly staff"
Very nice location, although you will need a car to reach it, last bit of road is not paved. Very helpfull and friendly staff with good recommendations for activities. The food is really good, rooms are spacious and the atmosphere is quiet/relaxing.
