"Close to the beach"
The Alexander is very nice with comfortable beds and quiet rooms. It is also fairly close to the beach making walking on the beach readily available. Breakfast isn't as good there as at some of the other hotels in Tel Aviv, but for the room rate it is still a valuable option.
"Read this before you book."
We have stayed here 2 times before and loved it. But not this time. We have never had such rude and poor service anywhere. The staff really, just do not care about anything. The breakfast on the roof top was why we came back, But not this time, it was a shadow of its former self, and again, to say, the staff just don't care is an understatement. Perhaps we had the B team as it was over Hanukkah. Asking the front seat for an extra quilt was an ordeal and a real effort for them and they were happy to tell us so, forget about assistance getting a taxi, that was a joke.... how ever, after I was rude and pushed the manager to order us a taxi for a Specific time, which was so clearly outside of their scope, he offered to drive us personally if the taxi did not arrive.... nice guy! Fortunately, that night it arrived. If you have somewhere else to book I recommend you do so and on our return to Isreal, I can assure you, so will I.
"Alexander Hotel, Tel Aviv. Short break/ great location"
The hotel is very well located in north Tel Aviv. Within walking distance of the Port and also the busy streets of Dizengoff , Ben Yehuda and Nordau. Lots of cafes, restaurants etc to choose from and then onto the promenade for a good walk along the beach front to try keep the weight down!
"Great place for couples"
This hote is not in the middle of all big names hotels in Tel Aviv, but has very good service, and a nice clean beach right at the end of the street where you can chill out in the amazing waters of mediterranean. Excellent modern rooms and a very good breakfast in the rooftop restaurant, where you can also enjoy a light dinner with a great view. If you are a walker no need of transportation as you have everything you want within a radius of 2 miles, and you can always rent a bike and go all the way to old Jaffa city using the bike path along the beach. Front desk did an amazing job helping us with coordinating the pick up for the excursions in hebrew and providing us with breakfast box for early excursion. We recommend it and we'll be back next time in Tel Aviv.
We enjoyed every moment of being in the spa. Wonderful atmosphere including breakfast on the roof with an amazing view. Very recommended. Special thanks to Irene and Ran for an unforgettable experience And a big thank you to Michal the hostess.
