"Excellent Stay In Brussels"
We stayed at the Aloft Brussels Schuman hotel for 2 nights just before Christmas to visited the Christmas markets. Loved the hotel, loved the room. Very modern and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in the European district, so its close to all the European Parliament buildings, so a little out of the way if you wanted a hotel in the old town etc, but saying that, its a 5 min walk to the nearest Metro station & only a 20 min walk to the old city. All in all, loved the hotel & would definatley return.
"Superb comfort but I hate those Brussels-typical windows"
This hotel is one of the best in the area where the EU institutions are. It is a bit pricey but compared to others in the same price class, it is well worth it. Especially if you need to work in the room. A desk and a chair are great! Not to mention how much I loved the bed. After all, it is sort of a specialty of theirs. Having said that, there are few things that could be better too. And it's all about windows. Firstly, there are no other shades than dark thick curtains. Meaning, you either have half of the employees at the building oposite looking into your room or you are in darkness and consuming electricity. Further more, I had a constant feel there was a draft coming through windows. They were closed and yet, curtains were slightly moving so there is something to it. Of course, the heating is great so I cannot complain on being cold. But it is a waste of energy. And lastly, you can hear all the noise from the traffic. I was on a third floor. Maybe upper floors have it better. But on the other hand, this is just something you get in Brussels - heavy and loud traffic with no sound-proof windows.
"Cool et coloré"
Not bad to stay a weekend, not more, nice design withcolours. It is maybe too Expat, but in this area of Brussels it is like this. There is a nice parc close by and good café dowstairs and at the corner. Very safe/or boring area.
"Nice clean hotel"
Hotel was nice and clean, we had a nice big room with a king sized bed that was really comfy too. You can walk into the centre of Brussels in about 25 mins and it's pretty much one straight road from the roundabout 5 mins from the hotel. The metro is only a 5 min walk away too and we managed to find our way from the airport using the train and tram pretty easily the train was €14.20 for 2 then €4.20 each for the tram, we ended up getting an Uber back and that was only €21 so that's cheaper and no messing about, wish I'd thought of it on the way there! There is also another square about 5 mins away that has bars and restaurants. The hotel doesn't have room service which is a negative, but you can buy some food from reception and heat up yourself but at €15 for a noodle dish it's a bit steep. All in all though would return if we ever go to Brussels again.
"Very nice and stylish hotel"
Aloft hotel was the best choice for our trip in Brussels. Too close from the metro station in a good location. The room was big and cozy with nice atmosphere and very clean.we have a nice view from our window.you have to be careful and not smoke inside the room, because when you leave you must pay lots of money for that!
