"Aloft for your money"
Myself and my wife stayed in the Aloft in April for 3 days. The Hotel is beautiful and is one of the best we have stayed in. The layout of the rooms are unusual and quirky, but are practical and comfortable. Everything has been thought of from fridge, tea and coffee and even takeaway cups for you drink, in case you're in a hurry. The staff are friendly, take pride in their work and represent various nations of the E.U., nothing is too much for them. included in your stay is the use of the gym and Pool, which was included in the price of our room and was accessed by your room card. The location of the hotel is brilliant, next to the DLR, Excel centre and Airport. Q: would I stay again A: Yes, going back in June
"Good hotel with good sized rooms"
This property is in a great location for east London, Canary Wharf and particularly the ExCel Exhibition Centre. It's in easy walking distance of the Prince Regent DLR. The rooms are a good size with good amentities. The internet service is free and reasonably fast. There's a nice bar area with indoor and outdoor seating. The property has leisure/gym facilities and unlike most Aloft hotels, there's a full restaurant on the second floor, although be aware that this is a weak point for the hotel because the service in the restaurant is really terrible. I'd definitely come back here but I'd also definitely find somewhere else to have dinner.
"One of the best"
Stayed here recently for one night. Great place and location ideal for the O2. The staff were most welcoming and the room spacious and spotless clean. Very good breakfast but the food could have been hotter. Would we stay here again - most definitely. Well done.
"Great Spot but not as SPG as you'd expect"
This hotel is very nice and modern. I appreciated the size of the room as soon as I checked in. (I'm from Canada and used to more space then typically offered in Europe). As a gold spg member, I was hoping for an upgrade but was told at the front desk that they don't do it here which was disappointing since I checked with SPG before I even booked. There was no mention of the green program for extra points either. The restaurant is delicious but only open from 5pm to 10pm (room service till 10:30pm). There's also a store by the front desk that does snacks and light food. It's very close (pretty much connected) to the DLR (train) with only one transfer to Piccadilly Circus. All in all, I'm happy with my stay but may chose somewhere else for my spg rewards and a place that serves full breakfast.
"Girlie weekend and concert at O2"
Could not fault this hotel, ( apart from £17.50 for a breakfast) clean friendly and convenient for where we needed to be. Would definitely recommend it. Perfect for the excel. 15 minute stroll to the Emirates cable car to get to the O2.
