"Ended up here by chance"
Got transferred to this place after the hotel I had booked in Padova (same company) kicked me out, as they decided to cancel all bookings last minute. Ambasciatori has nothing but location. It's not a 4 star hotel anywhere in the world. Stadd are friendly, but everything is obsolete: the building, the cable TV, the bathroom, the furniture. Old old and more old stuff.
The hotel itself looks nice but is very noisy with terribly thin walls, so a good night sleep is impossible. Staff are mostly unhelpful. There is a bus stop over the road that goes straight into venice for 1,50 which is great, Venice itself is fantastic albeit a lot of walking. There is also supermarket in both directions on the street and a McDonald's down the road, handy since the food in the hotel isn't great, better to head into Venice.
"Good clean hotel"
Hotel lobby, dining room and all areas are lovely and clean. The double room we had was large and extremely clean. The bathroom was slightly dated but not a problem. All of the receptionists weren't particularly friendly but we put this down to potentially language barriers or maybe just the way it is as they were all consistently cold. Breakfast each morning was lovely, very varied and hot. Wifi can only be accessed at the hotel if you have facebook which isn't overly clear. There is a bus stop directly opposite the hotel which is 10 minutes to Venice mainland and only 3 euros a day each. Would definitely go again.
The hotel was much further away than we thought, although there is a good bus service , the room was a little small and basic but clean the TV station choice was shocking and the internet very poor but we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, we found the staff polite but not very forthcoming with information.
"Perfect stay in Mestre"
We had a wonderfull stay at this hotel, we stayed here 7 nights. We booked and payed through agency. We had the room at the 7th floor, it was a nice room, very clean with a big bathroom. The room was cleaned every day and brought us new towels when cleening. Even the bed clothes were chanced 3 times during out stay. Breakfast was ok, not a very big diversity, what I missed were the vegetables, the juices had an artificial taste. The bus station was next to the hotel( great stuff). After reading all the reviews on this hotel I was nervous about it, I didn't know what to expect from the hotel. I have to say that I was very impresed by it, we had a perfect stay here and we would definitely came back. Even the wifi was ok, we went to Venice not to stay on in internet...we went to visit, and when I went online from the hotel I had to login with the Facebook account, the signa A big Interspar is next to the hotel. They have all kind of things even salats, hot food on the first floor. Pizza La voglia is near the hotel. Its preety good, one evening we had one to eat in the room. In rest we eat from a pizzeria near the train station in Venice, it's called Quanto Basta. We found an autentic wine shop where you cand buy wine at litre ,it was full of locals there. I recomand you the frizante! It's perfect! We got off at the S.Marcuola vaporetto station and we went on foot through te ttrain station, there we found this place. We came back every two days!
