"This hotel COULD have been wonderful"
A hotel build of decent good materials, but build in a hurry we think! So many things were not working. Cleaning was less than ordinary. Pool area nice. Staff nice. Terribly boring place. Absolutely nothing to do where the hotel is placed. You need taxi for everything.
So basic. So difficult. So unwelcoming. So Brazil. I can't say anything positive about this bland 2* hotel. No bar. No bath. No restaurant. Room service food was just terrible. Front desk has no desire to help. Nobody cares. Nobody speaks English.
"Not quite ready and a bit noisy"
I stayed one night during the Olympic Games in August 2016. I like the location in front of the BRT station, handy for Rio Centro and the Olympic park, also my room had nice views. The service in restaurant was very good. First, they checked me into a standard room (which was really small, no view) but I had reserved an Executive room with a balcony. So I went back to reception to ask where was my room, but they had given it to someone else, so they gave me a suite (Room 1100) which was huge with great views and a big balcony. The suite was not really finished though. There was very little furniture (nothing in the sitting area), it was pretty dirty with construction grime and paint, plus it had a broken window. I'm sure they will fix all those things in time, but I was really surprised about the noise level from the traffic which went all night. They should probably have double glazing. The roof top pool looks very nice.
"If you want to rest avoid this hotel"
The Hotel is located on a busy area. The construction look's new but there is no planning for the noise. The cars seems to be in your room, IMPOSSIBLE to sleep or rest. The should have a sound prove window... There is no service, no-one seems to care about the guest problems - a greta deception!!!!
"It will depend on how much to pay"
Pros: • New hotel • Good breakfast • Quick room service • Free Wifi and with good speed • Balcony at every room. Cons: • New hotel (it's not finished yet, so prepare to see some dust). • Small rooms. • No food at the minibar. • No beer at (at least mine) minibar. • No hairdryer in the room. You have to ask to front desk. • No furniture at the balcony. • Pool and Fitness center will be ready at June/2016. • Beach are not close (be aware if you go as tourist). I payed 250 reais per night (US$62), so I think I've a made a good deal. The hotel can be great at the future.
