"Most caring staff, ever!"
I arrived Amman from Iraq and had 21 hour layover. I had become ill on the last day in Iraq and arrived Amman not feeling well. Although I didn't like having to pay the $60 Visa fee for 20 hrs, I reserved a room at the Marriott for rest. My flight arrived at 0600. They let me check in immediately even though check was technically at 300pm. The desk clerk saw I was feeling ill and asked if I needed a doctor. I told her no, just needed rest. She was genuinely concerned as was the bell staff who took me to my room. After being in the room for 15 minutes, I received a call from the desk clerk asking if I was OK, that she could call their house doctor or take me to the hospital next door. WOW! I assured her I would be ok and that I was a medical professional. A few minutes later, hot water, tea and fresh sliced lemon arrived at my door with the server telling me it was sent by the desk clerk in hopes it would help my throat and voice. I have never experienced the care and service in hotel that I received at the Marriott. The check out clerk waived several fees since I was there for rest only and didn't use any of the resort services. I had a nice meal in the restaurant before going back to the airport. This hotel staff deserves all the kudos possible for showing care and compassion to a guest. I was blessed by each them and will stay no where else but the Marriott Amman in my future visits to the area. Thanks.
"Great hotel "
Gorgeous rooms, friendly and very professional staff. I walked to the town center in about 30 min,on my own and felt really safe. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a safe and very comfortable stay in Amman.
"4 night business trip"
This was apparently the first five star in Amman. However, now there is a lot of competition and this hotel just doesn't match the others. The common areas and the rooms have a worn look and the soundproofing between rooms and between rooms and hallway is not great. However, the staff is really excellent. Prompt, helpful, friendly...absolutely the best part of my stay here. Great room service options (quick response time) and generous buffet breakfast.
"my trip to Jordan"
Just got home, Arrived Amman Jordan and first stop was the Marriott Hotel after landing at Queen Alia Airport. Hotel was very nice and quiet and employees were very friendly. They have one outdoor pool that was being cleaned and one indoor pool in the health club that we tried out and enjoyed. Its a shame with what other countries Jordan borders that make a lot of tourists stay away. There is a lot of security everywhere you go. We felt real safe ,We did the city tour that includes the Citadel , Roman Theatre and the archeological museum and old and new parts of Amman. We had a tour of the Roman city of Jerash also visit Ajloun Castle an awe inspiring Islamic fortress that with stood the power of the crusader armies in the 12th century. Also took a tour to Bethany , the place where Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist. Also went down to Medabo known as the city of mozaics, see the mosaic map flooring the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, the oldest map in the world depicting the Holly Land. We also checked out Petra , two walls over looking cliffs as we walk down to see the famous Siq. Later that day we went to see Wadi Rum , two hour jeep tour of the desert with tea and watch the sunset. Spent a few night in Aqaba along the red sea this is there Israel gave Jordan just enough land to bring in freighters with supplies and the odd cruise ships we saw come in one morning .Last place to visit was the Dead sea the lowest place in the world, and so much salt that you float like a wine cork. Nothing lives in the dead sea. We truly had a wonderful time in Jordan
"Great Hotel in a great location"
Stayed for 12 days in Sept 2016, hotel was not very busy until the end of our stay close to Jordan election time. The hotel services was great including the busy times. Amazing staff: at the reception, at the two main restaurants and the house cleaning staff... all were extremely nice to deal with, all very generous in their service. It is a self serve restaurant for breakfast, but staff would serve any special request. Special Thank you to Badran and special thank you to the restaurant staff manager (do not recall his name now)... they were really nice and very helpful. I was traveling with my wife and 2 kids and we met our in-laws, I am a Platinum Marriott member and they put us in upgraded two connected suites... the stay was joint and quite private, we all loved it and enjoyed our stay. Would love to repeat.
