"The best quality and view"
This place was quality from top to bottom. Top notch. The staff helped us order local Jordanian (Mansif) and the other meals I had in the hotel were excellent. The Library steak house was a great place to hang out, room service and breakfast were on pointe (I live in New York City so I'm not just handing out compliments, they earned it). I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Amman.
The Marriott in Amman is an excellent place to stay while in Amman. The rooms are large and comfortable. The service and hospitality are excellent. The breakfast buffet is high quality and very varied. It is easy to arrange taxis to go anywhere in the area, including Jerash and the Dead Sea. My only complaint is with the Hertz car rental. Although it is incredibly convenient to be able to rent a car in the lobby and have it delivered to you at the hotel the next day, I found the process extremely slow and inefficient. It all worked out though, so my complaint reflects impatience more than anything else. Everything else was easy and smooth.
"Not a 5 star hotel"
Problems on arrival as twin room not allocated .. rooms stinking of smoke from previous guests ... general facilities just ok. Breakfast just average .. above all not a 5 star hotel .. a basic 4 star ... staff were good.
"Excellent Hotel all around!"
I came to Amman on business and stayed here for two night and I enjoyed every minute of it. The hardest part was leaving to go home. The security arrangements at the hotel (without going into detail) is taken extremely seriously, more so than at similar hotels and it gave me reassurance and a good sense of security. I arrived in the very early hours of the morning and I was given a warm welcome by all the staff and even greeted by name by the doorman and again at check-in even though I have never been here before. Very impressive! At night after a days work I made good use of the health club, I enjoyed using the gym followed by the jacuzzi then the indoor swimming pool, and lastly by the steam room and dry sauna. The facilities were clean and spacious and a pleasure to use. I had an executive room on the 9th floor. It was very spacious, modern and clean. The bed was very comfortable and had a luxurious feel to it. I also went to the Executive lounge on floor 12 which was busy during Happy hour during which food is available. After Happy Hour the lounge emptied out and it was a pleasure to sit down, relax and have a drink. They also have computers and a printer which I used to print out my boarding card. The Christmas scenes, trees & decorations throughout the hotel were absolutely fabulous and one cannot fail to see that the hotel has spent a very lot of money on decorating the hotel for Christmas. Well it’s even more than I see in my own country and that is something! I left early in the morning for the airport well before breakfast and the hotel prepared for me a breakfast box. This was a lovely gesture. I was impressed by lots of things at the Marriott Amman but the one thing that I enjoyed the most was the amazing customer service I experienced at this hotel. I would like to thank Mr Nino Costantinou and all his staff for a very well run hotel, the most amazing customer service and care in ensuring a very comfortable and enjoyable experience all around. I very much look forward to my next trip.
"Classic 5* city hotel"
Everything you would expect from a 5 star city hotel. Good attention to detail throughout our stay. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. A short ride away to the downtown and tourist attractions. I would definitely stay here again.
