This was a trip to Nagoya for a trade show with several members of my staff. One staff had for Family reasons postpone his arrival and arrived a day late. Beeing busy all day and having a congress dinner and dinner with customers we arrived late at the Hotel. Just to find out that the room which was paid in advance was given to another guest. After long arguing they finally gave us an upgrade room with an extra fee. Only after talking with booking.com they returned the money (thanks Booking.com)
ANA Crowne Plaza is a decent hotel close to the train station of Nagoya. The rooms are quite big and comfortable. The bathroom is big enough and the amenities offered are more than sufficient. Would definetely visit it again.
"Decent unexciting modernish hotel in Nagoya Kanayama"
3 night stay Hotel: Served its purpose well. A decent very functional but rather bland modern hotel. Probably time for a refurb / update. For tourists, Kanayama is a less convenient location than staying near the main Nagoya train station. Reasonable service. An OK old fashioned bar on the top floor with good views. Room: Reasonable size room, compact but sufficient. All seemed rather dated, with old fashioned décor. Very clean and comfortable. Very quiet. Slept very well. Decent reasonably modern compact bathroom. Reasonable hanging / drawer clothes, and bag storage space. We had quite a lot of stuff for a 3-4wk trip.
Stayed 3 nights from 4 to 7 Dec 2016. Check in was swift and very friendly staff. Staff spoke good English and also recommend great restaurants around the hotel. They even gave me a self made map where each restaurant were. Also offer to call the restaurant if they have English menu. Excellent service! Stayed on 25th floor with great view of nagoya city. Hotel location is great and 3 minutes walk from train/subway station. Highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again if I go to nagoya again.
"Stone throw from amenities and train station "
Arrived this morning from Nagoya airport and was easy to get here. We arrived and was informed room will only be available after 2pm. We understand usual check in timing but was hoping front desk could handled it better. I felt the lady was inpatient. But concierge deserved a compliment! The gentleman was very helpful with us and stayed with us to sort out some issues. We later sat at the lounge and was hoping to purchase a bread from them and have a cup of coffee. To my surprise, we were informed bread sold at the counter is only for take away. This is disappointing as the menu offers limited selection. We booked the executive room and extremely surprised with the size. It is definitely very big considered Japanese's hotel standard. Basic and clean amenities in the room. Overall will recommend the hotel for its location.
