"Refresh needed yesterday"
The suite had a good floor plan with lots of room for families. However, it was an uncomfortable sleep on an old mattress, in a very dated room. design and color scheme reminded me or American Horror Story Hotel; creepy.
"Work is Needed"
We visited this property Feb 11-14. Our rate including a buffet breakfast and self parking was $15 per night. The room was typical of an older Marriott hotel with a living area bedroom and bathroom that could be accessed from both rooms. There was a coffee pot and a refrigerator. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet but the towels were clean but old and the water in the shower was temperamental. More than once I was scalded suddenly. I learned to listed for water running in another room and to jump back. I did let the front desk know and first they wanted me to change rooms which wasn't an option since we were headed out to Disneyland and then they said they would send someone up. The next morning (our last) it was better but since there wasn't any feedback I don't know if they fixed it or if I was fortunate enough to be in there while no other room around was using the shower. The included buffet breakfast which was usually $16.95 was horrible. At first glance it looks great with a lot of hot and cold choices and an egg/omelet station. But the sausage was in a chafing dish and the bottom was full of grease, the bacon was not there so I asked our server and he said they were cooking more. In the meantime my husband had ordered an omelet with egg whites and for some reason it was not good he didn't even take 3 bites. Our server brought me a plate of bacon and while that was very nice, the bacon looked like they bought scraps and not full pieces of bacon, the taste was as unappetizing as the looks. It was then that we decided not to utilized the rest of our included breakfasts. We tipped and walked out. I did let the front desk know and they said they would let the chef know. It's not a value if you don't use it. They do have a shuttle to Disneyland it' costs $6 per person and it's good all day. It drops you off closer than driving and parking but it is the furthest drop-off spot from the park entrance. This service was very reliable. Parking at Disneyland is $20 per car so for two people it was a bargain. There is an Outback and an Oggi's pizza very close and Target and Coco's is across the street. I would suggest choosing another spot to stay at closer to Disneyland until Marriott upgrades their rooms and restaurant.
"Helpful all around"
We had a wonderful stay here. The staff was incredibly helpful and courteous! We had a bit of a different schedule and they were very accommodating, making sure we had a safe to keep our luggage beyond our check out time. Our room was perfect and we comfortably slept our two children (8 & 6) and my husband and I. The room was clean and well maintained. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel.
"Expect better of Marriott"
Poorly trained staff. Bellman are useless and valet guys are worst. They left my car in front of the hotel unlocked for 4 hours. Hotel is old and has 0 style. Requested more towels and never got them. Problems with my bill. All problems from lack of proper training. Poor leadership.
Fantastic hotel. Great location! Very close to many attractions, and restaurants Shuttle service to Disneyland was quick and easy. Hotel room was extremely comfortable. Also, the staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. Especially Dave and Nicole! I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a great place to stay in the Anaheim area
