"Amazing resort experience in the middle of the city"
We stayed here in October 2016 for 6 nights and absolutely loved the resort once we stepped foot on the property. It's right on the river bank of the Chao Phraya and although it's a short distance from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, it really feels like a far away resort. The staff work hard at making every guest feel welcome and comfortable and they do an amazing job at keeping the entire property clean and beautiful. It's a tropical paradise oasis in the middle of crowded, hectic Bangkok. We had a river view room which had a very nice balcony where we had a nice view of both the Chao Phraya and the pool area. It was so nice to be able to sit and take it all in. The room itself is spacious and the bathroom is nicely laid out, with a separate toilet area. The breakfast buffet offers a very diverse spread, so even the pickiest of eaters will find something they like. The pool area is beautiful and a great place to relax. There's also a swim up bar which is a nice touch. If you want to explore the city, Anantara provides a free boat shuttle that runs every 20 minutes to a BTS Skytrain station, which you can take to any point quickly and conveniently. In the evening, you can take the shuttle boat to the Asiatique shopping center directly across from the resort, where there are plenty of dining and shopping options. Each guest has access to a handy cell phone that you can bring with you on trips into the city, and that you can also make free international calls with. It was so convenient to have mobile wifi service and access to google maps to navigate our way around, and this is perhaps one of the coolest perks of our stay. We also booked a couples massage session at the spa, which was very well done and very relaxing. The setting is very peaceful and definitely recommended. There's a mall located across from the resort that's walking distance where there are some retail stores and some dining options, including a Burger King, Sizzler, and a few other spots. Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay for us. The resort is very appealing and relaxing. Despite having to travel a short distance to get to public transportation, I think it is well worth it, especially considering the relaxing environment you will find here. We didn't want to leave on check out day. Thanks to the staff at Anantara who made everything perfect for our stay!
"Our Prefered Hotel in Bangkok"
Anantara sits on the old West Bank of Chao Praya river. This is historic Bangkok with its scenic waterways. Our river- front room is quite large, well-appointed, very clean and comfortable. The shower and the separate bathtub are great conveniences. A small plate of fresh fruits adds a warm token of daily hospitality. From the arrival to the departure, our week-long stay was filled with warmth and attention from the hotel staff--front desk and gold-keyed concierges, breakfast personel, and valet services. Anantara is the place and the staff is the star!
This is the resort beside the river and the resort is located in the heart of Bangkok but this resort really quite the room is very luxury and comfortable the breakfast is outstanding with 5 star service strongly recommend!!
"Lovely hotel away from the main hub"
One of the reasons we chose this hotel is because it is set away from the centre of the city. The grounds are large enough to relax in peace after a busy day exploring. Most of our exploring took us away from Bangkok anyway (the river Kwai & the floating markets) so being away from the city was not an issue however if we had been looking to explore Bangkok itself a little more then this location would have been far from ideal. The hotel itself has plenty of restaurants, the pool area is surrounded by gardens and whilst it was always busy it never felt crowded. Our room was a ideal size, we had a river view at the side of the hotel, whilst it was lovely having the view we also had the noise of the generators down below. The shuttle boat provided by the hotel runs regularly from 7:20 am each morning and join the hotel to the rest of the city by dropping people at the main pier in Bangkok. From here it was easy to catch the Sky train or a taxi. The hotel is also linked to the Avana shopping centre by a footbridge, and there are mini marts and a Tesco on the main road outside. There is a great selection of food on the breakfast buffet each morning. We took the opportunity to join one of the evening river cruises which includes a meal, this is really well run, the food it lovely and it's an opportunity to see Bangkok from the river.
"Luxury at its finest"
A wonderful stay in true 5* luxury. The resort is large and has all the amenities you need. The breakfast is incredible and guests are also provided with a complimentary shuttle boat service to the central pier in bangkok making sight seeing very easy. This definitely makes up for the location being slight far from the main city hot spots. The selection if restaurants is good I cousin the famous Benihanas where we enjoyed a fantastic meal. We would definitely stay again! Thank you for the celebration cake and bed decoration :)
