"A true paradise "
Our stay at this resort has been amazing from start to finish. We were greeted with such friendly staff from the moment we were welcomed at Male airport and then by the resort staff as we arrived to the island on the speedboat. It's a beautiful island with pristine waters to swim, relax and snorkel in. We stayed in the overwater suites which were renovated 1.5yrs ago so the decor was just perfect and the view was spectacular! We felt very pampered for the entire stay - with extra special thanks to Raja Khan who went to extra lengths to tell us about the island, to show us around and to take photos for us honeymooners in his own time! The staff here really go the extra mile. Thank you also to Imthy, the manager who looked after us for our late checkout (our flight was at 11pm!), it made our last day a very relaxing and memorable one! The big advantage of this resort is its 2 other sister resorts which can be easily and quickly accessed from Dhigu. This allows for more dining options and also more areas to explore! Not once were we bored on this resort. We spent 5days and 4nights and it was a good amount of time to see the whole island, and of course, allow for plenty of photos! Our favourite restaurant was the Thai restaurant, and the manager Natcha always made sure the food was of top quality and that we were happy. One of the best Thai restaurants we've been to! Short day cruises are also offered, we chose the dolphin snorkel cruise. It was one of the best decisions we made! It's a small group of 6 people, and we were able to swim with a pod of about 100 dolphins. What an amazing experience. A thanks to Shine at Aquafanatics for looking after us. Overall, we were extremely sad to leave this paradise. The friendly staff, the amazing scenery and the great facilities made it our most enjoyable and memorable holiday to date! The perfect destination for newly weds :)
"Paradise on earth"
We are a family of 5 and We have been coming to this resort for 7 years now, from time to time we try other resorts in the Maldives thinking maybe we are missing out. We can truly say, NOTHING BEATS THIS PLACE. 1. The bar staff are Unbelievable! Before I even know I'm thirsty Shameem places a drink in my hands. My three year old wants to go crab hunting' Munhid will take him by the hand and go for a walk then come back with a huge crab that he dug out for him. We come back from lunch and the uber talented Ali has made a kite out of everyday material that keeps the kids running up and down the beach. (He also made a windmill out of sticks and leaves amongst many other things) These guys and everyone who works at aqua bar feel like family, they are genuinely warm and wonderful people who are here to make your stay as happy and comfortable as possible. Just beautiful beautiful people. Nothing is too much trouble, if it's not on the menu they will make it, if your drink is not just right they will change it, if you forget something in another island or restaurant, in the morning it's waiting for you at breakfast. They remember your name, and how you like your coffee and your eggs and which table or pool chair is your favourite and try to keep it for you. 2. The food is amaaaaazing, Chef Gharib is the kindest most interactive chef you will find in any resort. He really cares what you think and wants every bite you have to be just perfect. My husband booked a sushi making class with him and took our 2 daughters with him.. they came back beaming carrying the most delicious assortment of sushi that the chef helped them make. I highly recommend it. The Thai restaurant in Veli is in a league of its own... we honestly dream of it's sticky mango rice all year. 3. The layout of the island means you can get anywhere in under 5 min. It's the only island I let my kids walk around on their own knowing fully well they are perfectly safe and sound. We wear no shoes and just roam around happily. 4. The view and the beach are the most beautiful you will come across, I can stay here forever. 5. The spa.... book everything, you won't regret it. This place is happiness. Thank you for another amazing year, these two weeks have recharged us fully and we are ready for the year ahead. See you next year. And every year 🌴🦀

A great resort. Great water sports activities. Good for surfing and diving in one location. the food is very diverse and really good. Choose from different cultural themes on the buffet or have wonderful Thai or Japanese food. The over the water grill is in a beautiful setting. The Spa is very tastefully done with good therapist. Overall the staff is very friendly and kind. Children friendly but seldom the feeling of crowded. Have already been there 4 times and can't wait to go back.
Fantastic location, friendly staff, the best beach i saw in maldives. Good variety of restaurants, grate facilities.Timeliness of service to improve, sometimes not in line with the expectations neither in line with such a marvelous place.
We stayed in Anantara Dhigu for 5 days. It was a great island escape and total relaxation time for myself and my family. Almost all staff members were friendly and attentive to our needs. Special mention to the following: 1. AAMEN – our buggy driver and guest relation guy who instantly became friends with my 4 year old son. Aamen was so helpful and always had a sweet smile on his face. We would be so happy to see him every morning when he picked us up from our villa to the breakfast buffet at the main island. 2. MUSLIM – the waiter at Fushi Café and Sea Fire Salt & Sky was also so friendly and very attentive to our needs during meal times. 3. BALA – the waiter from Aqua Bar – and another Thai lady (I forgot her name) were also very nice. Even if the kids lunch buffet was already closing Bala made sure that freshly made pasta was prepared for the kids. He spoiled my son with servings of ice cream. He made Aqua Bar a very child friendly place. 4. A Filipina lady assigned in the Fushi Café during breakfast and at Origami during the night was very attentive to us. I am really sorry I forgot her name! She took care of us everyday during breakfast! 5. Last but definitely not the least is our room boy TOM! He is Tom the great for us! He cleaned our room 2x a day, made sure we had sufficient water bottle in our villa, fresh towels and he replenished the toiletries. He would always leave a small note to our bed to wish us a good day and a good night sleep – I appreciate this added effort from the staff. Our villa was always clean and fresh smelling every time we came back from our water activities. I think what adds up to the charm of this resort is its staff. The friendliest I have encountered. Book the Over water pool villa and you will never regret it! The infinity pool at the main island can get crowded and it is nice to have your private pool in the comfort of your own villa. The resort have various restaurants – Japanese, Thai, Italian, Seafood and they have theme buffets during dinner time. The Maldivian theme night was the best as we were also entertained by local Maldivian singing and dancing over fresh seafood and Maldivian cuisine. The resort is also child friendly. My 2 sons did not get to spend time at the kids’ club as they were both addicted to the pool in the villa, but when we checked the kids’s club one time the kids seemed to be doing a lot of activities. There were resort staff looking after them and engaging them in different activities. Anantara Dhigu has the best lagoon and during low tide we just walked in the nearby picnic island, which can also be reached by speedboat or kayak. The picnic island is great for snorkeling and little picnic with the family. We felt we owned the little island as there very few people when we went there. Overall it was a great stay and truly memorable family holiday!
