"Heaven is here"
What a wonderful and amazing Villa that I ever experience my whole life, the people there are superb friendly, they take care of you with love and patient nothing else can compete with the service team in Anantara Kihavah! The island is well taken care of surrounded by nature and gorgeous beachside! People should visit the underwater restaurant, that's a breathtaking moment in my life, words can't describe how amazed I was but once you visit, you'll have the same feeling I had! Food in Anantara Kihavah is so fresh and delicious, gotta try from Sea, Salt, Fire, Sky, Manzaru, Plates to many more! I love you Anantara Kihavah, I hope to visit this heavenly island again! xoxo
This resort and the over water villa we stayed in were amazing! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff were all super friendly and welcoming. Everyone made an effort to talk to us and it left a great impression. All the staff at the dive center were great; we loved our dives with them and had a lot of fun. I recommend the fishing trip; it was pretty unique to fish with just a line, hook, and your own hands. Food was good except for the in villa dining. We felt like the food was sub-par and would rather eat out in the restaurants than order in. Another small issue we had was that we were not made aware of the dress code for the restaurants. We ate at the underwater restaurant twice. Our host did not tell us men needed long pants to eat there when she drove us there. They made him wear a sarong over his shorts, which was no big deal. However, we saw a couple people after with shorts on. They kept saying they couldn't let him in because it would make other people feel like its not fair, but they ended up breaking the rules for other guests. The second time, another man was wearing shorts as well. Another time was when we went fishing and had dinner reservations right after because we got back quite late. Our host picked us up and drove us to the restaurant (saw what we were wearing but took us anyways) only to have us turned away again because men have to wear a t-shirt (he was wearing a tank, but its in an outside area where you can wear tanks during the day so how should we know'). We do not mind the dress code but it's annoying to be driven to dinner and being forced to go back to the villa and change. If we knew beforehand, we would have brought different clothes in the first place. We ended up just ordering into the room. The cinema under the stars was not as perfect as it should have been for the price ($400). We requested some things and it was confirmed but ended up not being there. We ended up pausing the movie and walking out and checking on it to be sure. We almost just walked back to our villa but the guy who set the movie up for us passed by us and said they were sorting it out. It turned out someone got caught up in other work and it was forgotten but our host should have checked up on it and made sure it was there before she took us to the movie. For a 5 star resort, service should be almost perfect but for us, we had a few hiccups here and there. Overall, we enjoyed the resort and all the staff made it great!
"Great place and holiday"
Beautiful location and great service in the Maldives. Bronji the Villa Host was fantastic with nothing too much trouble. Activities for kids were thoughtful and made the holiday for them. Beautiful beach, pool and restaurants. Overall a great trip with matching service.
If you want a place for your peace of mind, relaxation and to feel like you are in the paradise this is the place for you. I was there on June 2014 with my friends for fishing, diving and relax. We booked the Two-Bedroom Over-Water Residence with Private Pool and it was one of my best experiences ever.
"Amazing staff, beautiful island"
We spent 10 days on Kihavah, our 5th Maldivian island (previously we were at Reeti Rah, Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru, Helengeli, Veligandu). We rate Kihavah in the Top 2 (along with Vabbinfaru). We loved: - The staff: the best we have encountered anywhere in the world. - The restaurants: the best on the Maldives so far (quality, design, service). - The island: beautiful, green, nice beaches, good snorkelling, exclusive, very nice views. - The rooms: large, sheltered, beautiful (we had a beach villa). As always, there is room for further improvement - none of the below would keep us from potentially returning: - Room dining service: we used this a lot over lunch. Not representative of a 5 star resort and far below the restaurant standard of the resort. - The spa: nice, but price/quality not adequate in our view. - General upkeep: there are a few signs of wear and tear that should be addressed given the standard of the hotel.
