"Luxury Resort on the Best part of the Beach at Chaweng"
This resort would be one of the best in Chaweng on Koh Samui , Accommodation is in Villas built up the hillside from the beach , Ground floor Villas have a plunge pool but we were in an upstairs Villa . It was spacious with a huge bath , separate shower . All rooms have Safes . The upstairs rooms also have a spacious outside Balcony . We booked through Agoda and therefore were put in one of the rooms near the road so could hear cars going past playing loud music advertising Muay Thai Fights . Staff at this hotel are very friendly and helpful. The pool area is near the beach and there are the usual sunbeds and daybeds spread around . Breakfast offered a good variety of Asian and Western cuisine . This is served at beachside Restaurant called Ocean Kiss . We had a few lunchtime meals too and these were always very good especially the salads. For fine dining there is a the fabulous Treetops restaurant . I will be posting a separate review so watch this space .
"nice room lovely staff"
the room its nice but smaller and maibe nead renovation but the staff its very lovely and help you for evry thing great location you near evry thing at samui and near the best place at samui ficher man village
Loved this hotel, not to big, great staff, service and the attention to detail. Had read reviews and was concerned about pool room, didn't think we would use it, after a day on the beach nothing better than coming back for a dip and G & T, ok it was not in the sun but very private and peaceful and you can switch the bubbles on. I agree there is no drawer space, you can manage if organised but a small chest of drawers would be very welcome in these rooms. Went to Tree Tops restaurant had the taster menu, Michelin star quality, expensive but outstanding! Loved it. No reflection on the hotel as it is beautifully kept but Samui as does a lot of Thailand has a litter problem, if they don't sort it out people will stop going, Anantara luckily is a little way out of town, we didn't realise how commercialised Samui was, most of the time we stayed away from town and went to restaurants a couple of hundred yards left of the hotel which were good as it is expensive to eat and drink at the hotel all the time,I'm sure lots of people love the buzz of Chaweng beach, make your own mind up. Fishermans village is worth a visit and is a bit quieter. If taking a taxi there get a fixed price first. As it is a luxury hotel taxi prices seem to go up if picked up directly from the hotel! Hope you enjoy your holiday at Anantara as much as we did.
"A very lovely hotel "
We are staying in this hotel at this present time we been hear for a week and still have 5 nights it is such a lovely hotel the staff are so so friendly and helpful they can not do enough for you it was my husband 50th birthday and they made him a cake the rooms are so very nice and kept so clean the beach and the pool are out off this world l would recommend this hotel to anyone and really won't won't to leave but it will not be the last time l will come back to this amazing hotel just can't thank the staff enough for making it a very happy special holiday
Really luxurious destination although sea water wasn't clean due to close proximity of Chaweng area. Would be nice to see some better dietary requirements catered for including lactose free and gluten free.
