"Excellent group stay"
My group arrived around 11am after a snowy and icy drive from Philadelphia on the day of Winter Storm Stella. The reception team had us in our rooms in under half an hour which was splendid after our 'interesting' drive. We were looked after with professionalism & humour during our three days in the city, even when staff could not make it in when public transport shut down. These small things added up to a 9/10 stay. This was our third visit and we will visit again.
"First Class Hotel"
Excellent location, very comfortable with friendly, welcoming and efficient staff. Great idea providing complimentary wine to guests in the evening. We have just completed our group summit there, with representatives coming from New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, UK as well as US and its success was in good part due to the hotel, its facilities and the staff.
"Awesome boutique hotel"
This hotel only serves 200 rooms. It's trendy and the staffs are very well trained. As a diamond member, I get late check out and room upgrades. I got the balcony suite, and the room has a very modern and simplistic design. The gym room is very well equipped, there's a very cool trendy bar downstairs, breakfast automatically serves lunch too if you wish. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit
"An Exceptional Experience!"
We are on the road over 100 nights each year and stay at a number of different Hotels. Hyatt is one of our favorites, but this was our first experience at an Andaz Hotel in the Hyatt family. Thus was one of the most pleasant and toatlly enjoyable experiences we have had in many, many years! Everything about the hotel - from the staff to the room, to the superb location, to the amenities was a delight! I'm a lifelong New York City boy - born and raised here, and this was exceptional! Thank You!!
"Amazing Location, Great Views"
I stayed in a two bedroom balcony suite and this hotel is overall the most pleasing that I have stayed in. The suite is a true two bedroom, with a foyer with lights that come on to light your way as you enter the room automatically, and bedrooms on opposite ends of the main room for privacy. I only say this because I have stayed at the London in Manhattan in a supposed two bedroom suite that was not a two bedroom suite. It was two bedrooms smashed together. I think a hotel room's design in this price range should have design elements that are rare in their beauty, and also functionality that one does not encounter at other places. I believe this hotel meets those criteria. It has features such as beautiful automatic shades and true floor to ceiling windows. The balcony was a little underwhelming in size, but I could see the Empire State building, One World Trade Center, and multiple important other sites from my balcony. The hotel is also about two blocks from Grand Central Station. Just that feature alone is worth a substantial amount in my opinion. The beds are comfortable. Overall I would rate this above a stay at the beautiful Grammercy Park Hotel also. Grammercy Park had an air of snobbiness among its workers, even to its guests, that this hotel did not, and this design in my opinion was better. There was a light in our bedroom that did not work above one of our drawers. This was not important to me in the grander scheme of things. Also it was loud one night in another room when I had an early flight the next day. I called down to the desk though and they rectified the situation very quickly so this was not important to me either. I do think the terrace suites in the hotel may attract parties of people, so be aware of that.
