"Natural resort in Siem Reap"
We spent 3 nights stay with this wonderful resort. From the free pick up service to the check in and room assignment made us feel so comfortable with our stay. We do love their swimming pool and we always spent 2 to 3 hours per day for relaxing after our sightseeing tour. Most recommended if you want to choose the right resort in Siem Reap.
"A perfect place to unwind"
We stayed here for 4 nights and loved every bit of it! The massive staff does everything possible to make your stay memorable and relaxing. We had a late flight out of Siem Reap and they were able to accommodate a later check-out for us so that we could rest a bit more before our trip. The tour guide ("Sam") they provided for us was top-notch and adjusted his pace and our itinerary to better serve my older parents. We also participated in a cooking class while we were there which was also excellent. The double room itself was lovely: air-conditioned, spacious, and with a very comfy bed. The pool was a perfect place to take a dip to cool off. The cabanas and other outdoor covered spaces were also very comfortable. Some may complain about the lack of wi-fi in the rooms, but I view this as a pretty great perk--it really helped me to disconnect and just relax! All-in-all, a really great experience for us!
"The Resort No The Hotel"
Be sure to stay at the Resort and not the hotel. The resort even has cottages so try for one of those. The hotel can arange an English speaking guide and even prepare a picnic lunch and cold drinks and water. Nice mid range hotel and if you are just coming for a 2 or 3 day visit to the Wat this is a good place to base yourself. Again, the hotel can arrange everything for you and they are fair in pricing and never overcharge the way many places do. They are fair and honest. The staff is good and if you need or want anything just ask. Grounds and pool are exquisite.
"Wonderful, just wonderful!"
We can't say enough how much we love this property. The room is brilliant, the swimming pool is like 300 m long, the grounds are fabulous, the food is excellent, the service is beyond exceptional. The bar is a great place to hang out, and even has games for the family to play. Once we step foot on the property, we knew we would not want to leave.
"Friendly staff the highlight of this 'jungle' resort"
Stayed here for three nights and found the staff to be the best part of the resort - everyone we passed greeted us with a "good morning!", "good afternoon!", or "good evening/night!". The pool is an amazing 'lazy river'-style pool, except there's no current. Winds around the resort like a figure 8, and lots of tanning beds and day beds for guest use. Breakfast buffet has a very good selection of Western and Asian dishes, and the rooms are quite spacious. BE WARNED that this resort is located just off the main road (you might hear the rooster and/or drumming/music around 5am, and dogs howling/fighting throughout the night) in a 'jungle-like' setting: LOTS of mosquitos, including in the room (the door does not reach the ground, so skeeters will find their way in and you will get bit while you sleep), and wifi is only available in the lobby. There is better value for money in Siem Reap, but the staff are what makes Angkor Village Resort a nice oasis just outside of the city.
