loved the second floor room (if you don't mind the stairs) with peaked ceiling and British Colonial feel. loved the flowers and nightly lily turndown. loved the pool in semi circle, swimming after a lond day exploring temples, breakfast and bar area so charming. a wonderful place to stay.
"Lovely - relaxing - great staff"
As part of a tour we had 5 days here - and they were the best of the 3 week trip. Staff are lovely and always willing to help. Hotel is not grand, but comfortable and well run. Would definitely return.
very nice and spacious airconditioned rooms in separate houses (4 rooms per house) .The whole resort is set up in cambodian style. Fantastic swimming pool in between the houses. The staff is very friendly, and always ready to help you but still needs training. Location not far from city center and Angkor Wat temples
"Jungle retreat in the hustle of Siem Riep"
The pool is reason enough for any discerning traveller to consider this hotel. It winds its way literally through the entire property and is served by a 'boat bar' whereby a server floats around on a raft carrying drinks all day. The jungle setting does come with mosquito so if this is going to ruin your trip, consider staying elsewhere. Also the resort was built in the 90s and parts are showing their age, but most falls into the charm (rather than dilapidated) category.
"Spectacular grounds, wonderful room, incredible service"
Cambodia gets transformed into Tahiti in this marvelous resort on the urban fringe of Siem Reap. Due to its location, it's quiet and an easy trip to Angkor Wat. The stylish, beautifully thought-out rooms are a delight. The staff throughout our stay, regardless of their position, were friendly (always greeting you with a smile) and helpful. We were even able to leave our bags there on flight departure day for a good number of hours, then when we returned sweaty, take a shower in the spa before heading to the airport. The bar is every bit as beautiful as the rest of the hotel, but the bar staff is unfortunately a notable exception to the service in the rest of the hotel. The drink quality (and the strength of same) goes along with the service. The serpentine pool wends its way for quite some distance through the lush landscape. The restaurant serves excellent food for dinner in a serene atmosphere. The breakfast is in a different building. It's buffet and quite good as well. Just don't expect things to be ready by the stated opening time (10-15 minutes late).
