"Excellent Location, Nice Hotel with Limited Amenities & a Laundry "Issue""
Anna Hotel is really well located, making it easy to walk anywhere around the city. The room we had (350) was clean and spacious, had a great view down the street and included a really comfortable large bed. I did miss some of the little touches I really appreciate when travelling, the first to come to mind being bathrobes and an iron. Then there's the shampoo....they do supply shampoo, but no conditioner! which might be ok for guys or girls with short hair, but it just doesn't cut it for some-one like me with long hair. Only a minor detail but it's those little things that make the difference. We ate breakfast in the restaurant each morning the food was good and all of the staff were really pleasant. Now for the laundry "issue" while there I decided to send some clothes out to be laundered, after sending the items I realised I had left a 500 SEK note in the zip pocket of a pair of trousers, silly I know, my bad, I accept that. When the laundry was returned, the trousers were still nicely zipped but the cash was missing. I am happy to accept responsibility for my part in this scenario and right across knowing I was not going to see that money again, but I decided I should bring it to the attention of the Hotel, making them aware their laundry service had some-one with light fingers on board. I informed the girl at reception of the incident asking her to insure management were made aware. When we checked out the next day we were attended by the same receptionist, she enquired if anyone has contacted me regarding the incident, to which my response was obviously no, she was kind enough to apologise & express her disappointment that no-one had followed up. As I said before, it's the little things that make the difference and the fact that no-one from the Management of this Hotel was willing to take the time to contact me regarding the theft of my money speaks loudly about their care factor. A disappointing end to what would have otherwise been a pleasant stay.
"Helpful staff and convenient location"
Really, you couldn't ask for a better location if visiting Munich and you plan to walk to take public transportation everywhere. It is about a block from the main train station and next to another metro stop. The staff was very helpful with selecting restaurants, answering questions and accommodating our needs. The room was modern, spacious, clean and well kept. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Munich.
"In the heart of Munich"
Great location. Great hotel. We ate a few times in the hotel, and although it's a little expensive, the food was really good. We also enjoyed some late cocktails here one night, and the ambiance made our evening flow beautifully. Our room was a good size, and well serviced by the maid. The front desk were so helpful and I'd like to thank Carina in particular for always having the answers and being so nice. Thank you Carina. The only negative for me was the outside noise at night time. Although we had a 'quiet' room, if you are a light sleeper, then you may have a problem. I guess it's unavoidable when you are in the heart of the city...but it's just a heads up. Overall, we were very happy and will be going back to the Anna Hotel when we visit Munich for more beer and sausages!
"Great hotel! Fab location!"
I was really impressed with this hotel. Our rooms were really good as we had two adjoining rooms with our own lockable hallway - perfect for families! Attentive staff, great breakfast, attention to detail. No negatives - the only improvement could be the amount of coffee at breakfast. I drink a lot in the mornings and would prefer to be given a pot or have someone come round to top up regularly. But this is a small thing! Also would be fab to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room but I know this isn't common in Europe. They only charge 1 euro per item for drinks and snacks in the mini bar in the room so you don't feel ripped off.
"Excellent location and very comfortable"
I went to Ana Hotel with my wife and seven year old child. Everything worked fine. Excellent location, close to Karlsplatz metro station and to Hauptbahnhof, there are several TRAM lines on Karlsplatz, making easy to go every touristic place in Munich. The room was very comfortable and the staff very kind. The breakfast is expensive, but, there are many good places around. Higly recommendable.
