We loved everything here. They were kind and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. Room service was very good, fast and not overpriced. The location was perfect for touring the town and using public transportation.
"OK stay but could be better"
Visited recently for 2 nights. I have stayed at quite a few of the Apex hotels, and am surprised how different this one is from the others. We were welcomed to the hotel and was happy with our room, although there were no slippers as stated. I was sad to see there was no Border's biscuits in the room as there are in other Apex's, favouring Brakes biscuits instead. This was pretty disappointing. The room was clean and nice enough. The spa facilities were nice, but there was no mention of needing a £1 for lockers - this could have been mentioned in room as Apex Dundee uses keys ( I understand that is because the spa there is manned, however, I had to return to my room to obtain a £1, luckily I had one ) On exit, I was almost charged twice. Luckily the colleague of the person serving me noticed and rectified it. Very convenient location, but not if you have brought a vehicle as the parking is on street - 4 hour max. Overall, I would stay again.
Myself and My wife stayed her for a few days after our wedding to relax. Service was exceptional. We had a complementary upgrade as we were on honeymoon and the suite was huge! They even left a note to wish us well. The breakfast was great plenty of choice. The spa was really quiet so we had the whole pool to ourselves most days!
"Great location, central for Edinburgh attractions."
Great hotel, We stayed at Apex Waterloo Place Hotel for two nights, staff very helpful, we had breakfast and our evening meal in the hotel, the breakfast was expensive £15, we opted for a lighter breakfast which we was charged per item, ideal if you're not a big eater in the morning, the evening meal is very well priced and the food was faultless which was served by very pleasant staff, A good selections of beers and wine was available not the cheapest thou,(city hotel prices I guess) a pleasant environment to relax after a long day walking around the city. The lift took you straight down to Waverley Train Station which was very good, We was given room 1012 on the top floor, the room was spotless and very well presented, as we was in the attic room, we assume we had the airconditioning fans or some sort of machinery that was in operation all night on the roof, unfortunately this kept us awake for our last night, 😴😴😴 I pointed it out to the check out staff, they replied, " oh ok, I'm sorry, I'll not put you in that room if you decide to stop here again with us." So, I recommend to any person staying at this hotel, if you get room 1012, ask for a different room . Other than that a good experience.
"great location and comfort"
I love this hotel and always try to book here for business or personal visits. Staff are first class and it's worth getting up early for the great breakfast too. Next time, i'll try the leisure facilities. Fantastic location in Edinburgh.
