"Home away from home"
Very personalized service. Wifi could be easier to log on to BUT staff came quickly to straighten out. Every effort was made for me to have an easy to access room. Staff reserved excellent room for my return after 3 day trip away to Skye.
Fantastic location within walking distance to wonderful restaurants for breakfast, brunch and dinner. Found a very unusual cocktail bar called Panda & Sons - disguised as a Barber Shop, amazing Red Panda!!!
I strong recommend Apex Waterloo Hotel. Excelent location (3min walk form train station), great staff and wonderfull accomodations. I'll definetly return on my next trael to Edinburgh!! Great city, great hotel, great experience !!
"Good location, but facilities a bit lacking"
Hotel was well located, a block away from the Balmoral Hotel, right next to the train station, and a 5 minute walk away from the Royal Mile. Room was fairly large and clean, bathroom a bit old but servicable. Front desk was helpful in recommending restaurants. Didn't try the breakfast as it seemed quite expensive. Annoyingly, when I asked for a toothbrush, they said they didn't provide any'' Even the cheaper budget hotels I've stayed at, provide dental kits...
"Can't fault it!"
I really like Apex hotels try to stay here whenever I visit Edinburgh. I usually travel alone for business and find the staff friendly and helpful and the atmosphere calm and relaxing. The rooms are roomy and clean, bathrooms have a powerful walk-in shower and Elemis toiletries and the beds are comfortable and generously sized. The breakfast choices are excellent and I like that you can have breakfast delivered to your room. The Apex Waterloo is situated really well for shopping in Princes Street or John Lewis.
