"Good, clean hotel"
Came for 2 nights to Berlin, stayed here, and can't fault it at all. Be prepared to pay a €60 deposit on a card when you arrive though. The rooms are clean, and the beds comfy.. very central, the TV tower is around 10 minutes walk, and the Reichstag and such is around 20 minutes walk in the other direction, so very central. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, as €19 each seemed expensive, compared to the price of cafes in the area. There is a mini bar, but it is extortionately priced €3 for 200ml of cola or water... there is also a 1L bottle of water in the room, which is priced at €5.40
Hotel is ideally located near several u bahn stations in a quiet part of town. The rooms are clean and modern and staff friendly and helpful. Alexander platz and museum island are within a ten minute walk. The bar has a great cocktail menu. Would stay here again.
"Comfortable and well located"
A great location within walking distance of many great attractions. Rooms are well decorated with very comfortable beds. Rooms are a good size. Great breakfast facilities and bar. Easy walk to Berliner Dom and many museums. Gendarmenmarkt, Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust memorial, checkpoint Charlie, train stations and shops are once again all walkable. Overall the John F hotel is a great place to stay.
"Very good hotel for a convenient price"
I stayed two nights at the Arcotel John F and I loved it! It is nothing special from the outside, but really cozy, well decorated and pleasant. The room is big enough, spotless and confortable. Good free wifi. TV with international channels. Well located, close to museum island and right in front of the foreign affairs ministry. Five minutes to Unter den Linden and five minutes to the metro station ( U 2 line). Ten minutes walk to the bus from Tegel airport. Attentive and helpful staff. Expensive breakfast. Gym and spa. Good price for the quality!
"A good hotel near the museum district"
A hotel that wasnt my first choice as in the past i visited their restaurant and that was one of my most dissappointing experiences in Berlin so far. But I ended up here and i have to say that the hotel was a nice retreat. A different experience then their restaurant called foreign affairs. The location is good as you are close to several museums, transport options, Alexander Platz, Friedrichstrasse and Unter de Linden, etc. Although when you are loacated at the side of the Foreign Affairs building the early commuters can be disrupting when you have your window open. I had my window open as for me it was too warm in the room even when i had the airco on 19 degrees. But thats a challenge in more hotels. Also a bit of a paradox as they claim to be more environmental friendly eco orientated hotel supporting the bee population. Why set the heating systems so high' Well the room was a good size and the beds were good. Pillows maybe a bit too soft so i stacked two. Storage space could have been better. Certainly when you are here for a week together for a city trip. Shower was fine and the basics were available. Breakfast is fine but here as well too high of a price for what you get. Staff nice and polite. All in all nice hotel and worth a stay.
