Wonderful experience! Great room, service, etc. Cannot say enough great things about our staycation!!Comment of M. Allyn , United States the 2016-06-25
"The perfect mix of history and luxury"
Easily in the top 3 of hotels I've ever experienced. The building and grounds are magnificent, staff helpful and very happy, and food spectacular. Highly recommend the hotel tour to understand the rich history and purpose of the architecture and to hear the wonderful anecdotes about the guests who have stayed or visited there over its near century of existence. It truly is a unique experience and I barely scratched the surface over 3 days I was there.
"Good but pay attention to room location"
This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have had the pleasure of staying in. I travel a lot and have been to many upper end hotels and the grounds and architecture here cannot be beat. Having said that, the biggest disappointment was in our room location. We paid extra for one of the cottages G 5122. DO NOT RENT THIS LOCATION! The "private patio with fire Pit" was used as a highway by both staff and guests nonstop. I hate to complain so didn't call management until the last day of our stay. The manager did assure me it is a private space and took $100 off the week's bill but that did little to soothe my annoyance and irritation with the misuse of this space, especially by the staff.
"Amazing hotel but ....."
Positive: A very beautiful and elegant hotel. Classic architecture originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The grounds are immaculate . There are an overabundance of blooming citrus plants. The smell of orange blossoms were intoxicating. Great service at every location in the hotel. One of the best and fastest valet parking that I have ever experienced. Staff are very friendly and professional. The Front Desk Manager (young lady from Cuba) was extremely helpful. Pool is nice and has a very beautiful water fall but it can be overcrowded with kids and fairly noisy. Gym is adequate but very clean. Concern: I had reserved and paid in advance for an upgraded cottage. Unfortunately the cottage was not available upon my arrival. I was offered a "similar" cottage. The room was very small, very basic and with minimal amenities. The more expensive cottage was even smaller than the hotel's regular rooms that I had stayed at during my previous visits.
Nice Old Hotel, rooms updated nicely, building''' 4 story 100 room building with one barely working elevator. Beautiful grounds, nice restaurant, great service, with 36 holes of golf. Accesibility a little bit of a problem.
"THE place to be!"
This place makes me so relaxed. The desert and the history all crammed together in a fabulous way. So well manicured yet spacious enough for long evening strolls. All the amenities and then some. Treat yourself and stay at the Biltmore!
