"Lovely hotel within walking distance of main shopping areas"
We travelled to Manchester to see the Kaiser Chiefs at the Arena and stayed at the Arora overnight. The room was comfortable and clean with a view of the office block being built next door. Im not too bothered about the view, I just want a good nights sleep. I was concerned about the builder but they didn't start until 8am and the noise was within reasonable boundaries. The reception area was undergoing a refurbishment so was a little constricted but the staff were very helpful and friendly. The bar area , restaurant and gym are on the lower ground floor. There was a group of about 8 people in the bar area who were quite loud but not sure if that was as a result of trying to talk above the background music - or vice versa. We ate in the restaurant and had steak and salmon in a parcel. Chips and veg etc are charged as extras but the food was delicious. We didn't eat breakfast here so can't comment. I would stay here again as it is within walking distance of the Arena and Deansgate.
"Nice hotel, great central location."
Excellent central location, just around the corner from St Peter's Square tram stop and across the road from the extensive Manchester Art Gallery. Very quiet (even though it's on a main road there was little traffic noise), clean hotel with friendly staff. Even the renovations in foyer didn't affect the quality of our stay at all. Rooms cleaned at a reasonable hour (11am) so no uninvited early morning wake-ups!
Lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff. Had a great weekend, hotel in great location, close to the tram system and great bars. Rooms was lovely and the bed very comfortable. We would recommend this hotel.
"Good value for money."

"Staff are amazing! "
First impressions of the hotel were quite plain as there's a big renovation going on. Quite a small area to check in, however impressions changed immediately as we were greeted by a professional and smiley receptionist Bradley. He Didn't rush through the process but we made it to our room within minutes! The room was beautiful. Huge comfy bed, fluffy pillows, powerful shower, no clutter! The hotel itself is like a maze and it's easy to get lost, but there are always staff wandering around to help you get your bearings. A staff member id like to mention is Emily. She gave us such a warm welcome at breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. The buffet had a huge selection of food to choose from and if that wasn't enough there was an alacarte menu you could order from at no extra cost! Emily suggested the eggs Benedict half with salmon half with ham and it went down lovely with a cappuccino! She made the effort to ask if my stay was going well, if I was sleeping comfortably and if I had any troubles. I mentioned the tea tray in the room had no earl grey and it was a shame there were no biscuits. Never did I think when I went back to my room after my breakfast there would be several earl grey teabags and two packets of biscuits! Now that is good service. The next evening we went down for dinner and zingy looked after us. His knowledge of wines amazed me, another credit to the hotel. The Malbec went down a treat with the juicy ribeye and many sides! Emily was running around the restaurant serving food and taking drink orders, and a few hours later we bumped into her making cocktails at the bar! Is there anything she can't do'! A cheerful young lady with many talents. Was happy to thank her personally for the tea and cookies. I would happily stay at this hotel every time I'm in Manchester due to the professionalism of the team. They don't work like robots like many other hotel chains where everything is routine and procedure . They show off passion. The hotel is based right in the city center close to oxford road train station. Many pubs, bars, local shops and many places to eat. The arndale shopping center is a short 10 minute walk and the arena about 15 minutes, near enough every where is close. But it's in a quiet enough area to get a none interrupted sleep. There was a pleasant lady at check out whom asked if I'd like to leave a review to give some feedback. The only feedback I'll give is stay here!
