"Perfect for a relaxing stay!"
Beach front hotel. Friendly staff. Large room, but it should have more hangers. There was just one in the bathroom, and we needed at least two, and another near the sink. The adjoining restaurant is good, but pricey. It offers a special menu for guests. They charged a small tourism fee per day. It covers the cost os maps and leaflets. I paid the fee, but noone offered us a map when we checked in. The hotel is about 15 minutes away from Orla de Atalaia.
"Our best nights in Aracaju"
We stayed at the Aruana Eco Praia Hotel for two nights at the end of our week-long trip to Aracaju during Carnaval 2017. The hotel is delightful, demurely spread out though an immaculately tended garden like teak pearls of a rustic-chic necklace. Our room was huge, clean, and cozy in a tropical wood and stone kind of way, set up with everything we could have wanted. The hotel shows a slight bit of wear here and there, but I found it charming, like a favorite pair of well-worn jeans. The main restaurant serves breakfast in a lavish, albeit run-of-the-mill, buffet. We had better luck dining in their other restaurant, Sollo, which has much better food and a lovely view of the beach on the other side of the road from the hotel. The beach is unbelievably spacious and grand, even by Brazilian standards. Furthermore, even during the high season of Carnaval, we had the beach pretty much all to ourselves. And what a beach it is, with mile after mile of firm, fine sand, a delight to traverse, the warm waves softly lapping at your feet, and the choice of being left alone or planting yourself down for a spell at one of the many beach bar/restaurants that string the upper stretch of the beach, here and there. Aracaju is very under the radar, and the Aruana Eco Praia Hotel is a great place from which to base your exploration of the soothing energy of the city culture.
We stayed a couple nights at this beachfront hotel, September, 2016. They are not used to English-speaking tourist however the staff made a real effort to accommodate us. It is a short 15 minute ride from the airport, which makes it very convenient. Their restaurants are very good with the beachfront restaurant serving gourmet food but but with reasonable prices.
"Delivered as Promised"
We were extremely pleased with this hotel. It is very difficult to book a room so far away in a place you have never been. This hotel delivered everything promised on their website, and we enjoyed every minute of our time there even though it was a short visit!
"Lovely beach hotel"
Beautiful beach-side resort. Lovely grounds, restaurant, and pool. The rooms are adequately-sized, clean, and furnished. We had a one-night stay here on our way south. The staff was friendly and incredibly patient with us as non-Portugese speakers. The Sollo Restaurant and Cafe Mare had an excellent variety of fresh foods. The beach is quiet, clean, and safe to walk on.
