The hotel offered great service. The location on the river offered a quiet, serene spot for meals and or to relax in the evening. The rooms were clean and comfortable. My sister and I loved it and highly recommend. They do also provide a shuttle to the Sunday market and it is a 15 minute walk to the bazarre.
"Very nice quiet little hideaway"
Stayed here with my family of two little girls, age 1 and 3. They loved this homey feel of being able to run out of the bottom floor gate and into the grass field garden. Pleasant, polite and respectful staff. Well organised hotel and a very nice Royal Project vegetable salad at the restaurant. Worth staying here!
"Lovely serene spot but close to nightlife"
The Aruntara sits on the Ping river and is quiet and serene. The staff could not be more lovely and accommodating. Having the nightly cocktail special along the river was a treat. Then for less than a $1 each you can be in the old town or the night market, which they will shuttle you to as well. Breakfast was well appointed with eggs, pancakes and waffles made to order. Dinner had a nice mix of Thai and western. We found it online and got excellent value for our money. Highly recommend
The hotel is beautiful inside and out. The room is spacious with a large tub and a separate shower. The TV is small with very limited channels. I know you're suppose to be here to tour but when i get back to the hotel from a long tour, I'd like to relax and watch TV. Wifi was great (until the last stay, today) and so was the free breakfast. Not a lot of selections but it was sufficient to my needs. I mean who wants to pig out to start your day' Just be careful when eating breakfast because there are mosquitos flying around due to the river being next to the hotel. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The hotel isn't near walking distance to attractions but they do offer a free shuttle to the night market at 7pm. They have their own security who helps you cross the street because the road does get busy. The reason why didn't give it 5 stars was due to their beds. It feels like you're sleeping on the floor. Only difference is that it's elevated and has sheets. The first night sleep was horrible and the second night was OK. Honestly, I wouldn't stay at this hotel again because of the uncomfortable bed since I need a good night rest. Now, if they have other rooms with a soft bed, then definitely, I'll book this hotel if I visit Chaing Mai again.
"Small boutique hotel"
Situated on the river Ping, about 10 minutes by taxi to the walled city. Very pleasant, friendly staff and clean quiet hotel. Reasonably priced. Can really chill out. Have breakfast and dinner next to the river, lovely swimming pool, spa and small gym. Would recommend this if looking for small, quiet place slightly out of the centre.
