"Our wee staycation"
Excellent - not just the hotel byt also its location. Perfect for those who live away from the city its just above nice restos and bars and most importantly - shopping center. Oh and the spa: excellent!

You can't be located more centrally than in the Ascott. We had a 3-bedroom apartment at the 22nd floor for about USD300, which makes the price per bedroom at this location very reasonable. The entire place is luxury and spacious, on top of the Glorietta shopping mall and near to hundreds of restaurants.
"Newly renovated rooms"
Had the chance to stay here using their promo rates for their newly renovated rooms. I stayed in a one bedroom. Much nicer than their older rooms except that they are non smoking rooms. Kitchen was complete and the furnishings were nice. My only complaints would be that the TV did not have a TV remote and once it was on, I couldn't get it to go to cable. Service was also a bit slow as i requested my room to be cleaned when I left at 6pm, but they only showed up at 8:30pm when I was already back. Lastly, the hot water isn't steaming hot as i prefer really hot showers and the glass for the bathtub/shower was a bit strange and a hazard. Better to have a separate shower with their layout. Was unable to wake up for breakfast but the executive lounge offered some snacks and beverages.
"The Front Desk Experience"
The front desk service needs to be improved I guess. I mean, I hope this just happened to myself and no one else. The system from which the front desk agents check (thru the TV monitor) was not updated so the developments of what happened to my hotel experience was not registered there. They needed to call the Sales Manager from time to time to check and confirm. We were not able to pay correctly at first day, and on the second day, the billed amount was not correct, and so I needed to pay something more upon checkout. The assistant manager Rona assured us that she will re-train the agents so that other guests will not experience this. The checkout time lasted 45mins. The breakfast was very good. Mostly Filipino food and very delicious. And there was this person we wanted to commend because he was very hardworking and polite, we forgot to get his name. He was that one sitting at the gym in the morning, and then goes to the pool area around breakfast time. At the end of the day, I should say the experience was a combination of good and bad. The front desk, even though the procedure needs to be improved, the agents treated us and talked to us politely.
