"Great stay and friendly staff!"
I booked a room last minute, and while checking in realized that I forgot my passport at my friends hotel that was 5 miles away. They were very accommodating and allowed me to still check in after gathering some information. The room was great and modern and I enjoyed my stay. They also let me check out an hour later at 1pm. It is close enough to the fun (Walking Street + Central Festival) and is on a quiet street where sleeping is no problem. If back in Pattaya, I would definitely stay here again!
"Decent hotel in the heart of Pattaya"
Stayed here a couple of nights when I should've stayed for 5 nights. Check in staff were quite attentive and the room somewhat spacious. I was provided a room on the 3rd floor which is the same floor the swimming pool is on. Be warned, though, this is also the smoking floor. The hotel is located on a soi that's inaccessible by vehicles during the evening hours. So hailing a taxi back to the airport or Bangkok would have you walking to the main street. The rooms could use a bit tidying up as at looked mostly worn from wear and tear. All in all, a decent hotel if you're looking to stay near walking street.
"my second stay..."
This was my second time I chose this hotel, mainly because of the location.. but everyhing has its limit and price. Had enough this time. First time the hotel seemed far cleaner than this time. especially in the hallways and in the Loby there was lots of dust along the edges that matched hotel bad because it's not a 1 star hotel. At night it was very dark i the hallways, especially in my floor. They should consider better lighting. Elevators was good. The room smelled too much perfume. dont know if that was because of their room-cleaning soap or they just spray the rooms with this smell. Breakfast was exactly the same as last time. all week the same almost, they change 2 small dishes, with really the same, nodles without wegetables and such.. (very "creative") Incredibly boring. if you eat early as I do, around 07 so do expect tomato beans to be cold and other small dishes. The are warmed by small candles underneath. The cleaning staff was always very nice and greeted nicely! The young ladys behind the check-in counter was periodically more keen to giggle and joke in between as when guests turns around at the counter or waiting for the elevator. VERY unprofessional. Never seen anything like this, I hope they didnt joked at paying guests. And Yeah...if you want transportation to Bangkok or the airport do not use the hotel. it costs 2500 baht to Bangkok. I did that mistake last year. They sent a driver in a relative old Toyota to drive med to Bangkok. I guess he was around 70 years and cleary tired. He stopped by a 7/11, bought coffee and said it was his fourth trip to bangkok. he was clearly exhausted. It was the worst trip ever, because I was constantly afraid of dangerous traffic situations and had to constantly watch out for the driver and front. He talked loud on his cell phone using his handsfree before i told him to put on some music so he would end the call. Here I am and paying 2,500 Baht and in addition I have to sit and listen to him talk on the mobile entire trip. this made me annoyed. Total ripp off by the hotel. And the hotel demand prepayment. So if u chose to hop off, you have allready paid off.. Did not enjoy the ride at all... They should be ashamed of using this driver and putting their guests life in danger. Dont have his name, but he is tall with a lot of white spike haired og his back is kind of bent , like mr Burns in the simpsons. This time, however, I chose a taxi right outside and paid only 1200 baht for a nice ride to Bangkok. That was perfect. So if your not depended on being next to the beach i would condsider something else.. I would not stay here again.
"Situated in a Good Location."
Aya Boutique Hotel is situated in an alley just opposite to the beach road. Perfect Location if one is staying in Pattaya. I stayed in the hotel for 6 nights. It is a decent hotel with the all amenities decently maintained. Staff is friendly, hospitable and quite professional. I stayed in Deluxe Courtyard Room, without a Balcony, which I found to be litted extremely dimly and was small and cranky for a 4 star property. Location is the USP. A bit overpriced for the services offered. Pool area is small situated in 3rd Floor. Should have been on the rooftop with sunbeds (which I missed badly), it would have added to a better experience at the hotel and would have been an added attraction and amenity. Breakfast lacked variety though. All in all a good, serene and peaceful stay at the hotel. The major drawback are the rooms with views are without balcony and balcony facing rooms have buildings hung over them at a distance of like one meter. Not Suitable at all, I had to change the said room for market facing one. For a 4 star property rooms ought to be bigger with a balcony. Would I like to stay in the hotel again' Yes, provided prices are reasonable in tandem with the facilities. Hotel is bit overpriced compared to other properties in pattaya.
"Home Away for Home"
I have stayed at this hotel many times and have found the staff on the front counter desk to be very helpful and will always go out of there way 24 Hour a day to fix any problem you may have or point you in the right direction. I use AYA as my base when i am staying in Pattaya for a break from work, they always have fast internet and it has always been free for me. Rooms are large, only down side for me is no light over desk if you need to do a little work at night
