"Wonderful villas in Phuket"
The suite we had (up high) was beautiful! We had an outdoor jacuzzi, outdoor shower, sitting room, bedroom, and large bathroom with standup shower and nice tub. It was beautiful! The views were stunning and the place itself was very romantic. Great place for a honeymoon. The grounds/pool were also beautiful. Pool was very peaceful and nice to relax by. Breakfast buffet is included, also great. We also got a couples massage, and although this was the more "expensive" massage we did in Thailand (versus the incredibly cheap $10 ones in Bangkok), it was excellent! The spa itself was well kept up and was worth it for us. We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our trip in Thailand (we went all over) so it was really really great to stay somewhere so beautiful and tranquil. Definitely recommend for couples if you're looking for a relaxing stay and it's in your budget range.
Stayed in this resort for 3 nights in January Overall a fantastic hotel, but not worth what we paid – there are deals available, so could be a good splurge with the right offer. Pros Beautiful resort. Great landscaping and architecture. Amazing, large suite with comfortable bedroom, well-appointed living space, kitchenette with a mini fridge, a very large bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub, an outdoor shower, and an outdoor lounge area with a cold-water refreshing tub (exact facilities will vary by suite type). Friendly staff who always greet you with a smile. The hotel spa is excellent. High-quality services at a very reasonable price - and some great special offers. Also includes a reasonably well-equipped gym and dry/wet sauna in the men's/women's rooms. Excellent breakfast (included) with a wide range of Western and Thai dishes. Food was quite plentiful and the servers were attentive - refilling coffee and removing used plates, etc. Excellent Wi-Fi in suite (6 MBPS download speed) Suite-only design, strict rules on guests-per-suite, and adults-only requirement ensures that you won't run into many other guests - except during breakfast The hotel has an agreement with a beach lounge on Kamala Beach (two beaches further south) for free beach/lounge access - which was nice. Had a great dinner at the hotel restaurant. Despite its lack of popularity (there was only one other table occupied), the food was excellent and the service attentive (even though the server didn't know much about the menu - at one point she just brought the 'fish of the day' out since she didn't know what it was). Other pros: Fresh-fruit baskets; loaner umbrellas; intimate/romantic ambiance; can spend a great deal of time inside the hotel grounds exploring and enjoying the amenities. Cons Not a lot of privacy - despite the small number of guests in the hotel, there were always a lot of staff around - and the landscaping staff were prone to stare. None of the outdoor 'sun' decks get (much) direct sunlight. The resort faces mostly north and is halfway up a North-facing hill (there are other resorts higher up the hill). So don't expect to work on your tan on your deck The units are built in an arc, so most units (definitely the outdoor decks, but also the bed/living rooms) can be seen clearly from one or more other units. The nearby Surin beach is not impressive - okay for a walk, but didn't feel too comfortable for lounging. Neither Surin nor Kamala beaches were good for Snorkeling. Sand bottom with almost no sea life (saw three small fish in a 30-minute snorkel).
We had rooms midway up the hill, which were still extremely luxurious, with a massive bathroom, and little plunge pool (outdoor tub really) on the balcony. Food is all around excellent. The breakfast spread is generous and well made. The restaurant dinner was excellent, with fairly generous portions in their set menus. Couple of small annoyances: we pre-booked a dinner and spa package - don't bother as the price at the hotel is equivalent or cheaper. Also, the 2 hour spa package includes a 20-30 min steam, which is a bit ridiculous since you can also use the steam for free outside of a package.
Excellent services and facilities. Helpful and friendy staff. The swimmingpool is amazing. The rooms are spacious, clean and perfect for relax. Good spa. Buffet breakfast good quality. Maybe a little overprized if you consider other hotels/services around in the area.
"Wonderful Experience - could not fault it"
We stayed here for a week over Christmas 2016 and had the most amazing stay. No children - bliss!! There were between 4 - 8 people on average around the pool each day. There was full waiter service and an excellent selection of snacks. Our villa was located at the top of a steep hill but without any hesitation, the driver of the buggy would offer his services of a lift back before we could ask. The walk down from the villa was lovely, through well maintained landscaped gardens and ponds with lilies. We had a pool outside the door of the villa with a noisy frog resident in there, but it all added to the lovely atmosphere. Attention to detail was excellent and we found absolutely no problems. The room was lovely, kitchen area, lounge, bedroom, dressing room, bathroom, outside shower, balcony complete with tub. There were two televisions (which we did not watch), safe, fridge, ice bucket filled on a regular basis, bed turn down service. My partner and I both used the spa - we had a massage each and the whole experience was very relaxing. I could not recommend this resort enough and would love to go back again.
