"Out of Town and quiet"
Having read some of the previous reviews I think we have stayed at a different hotel or have become used to Spanish life having lived in Spain for 12 years. Perhaps it is because it is off peak now, but it was all very quiet and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We had a problem with the TV and no bath towels but all sorted inside 10 minutes. Breakfast was standard continental with plenty of choice, but the toaster is antiquated and needs replacing with a machine to toast quickly. A very pleasant 3 nights at a sensible price compared to the city centre. At €1.30 each way on the bus, per adult, the sights were within an easy ride at and the free bus from hotel to city at 0930 each morning meant we could leave the car in the hotel carpark without worry or expensive parking. Drinks were readily available in the evening by the restaurant staff, and the free water in the fridge was an added extra. All in all good value for money
"Elegant hotel but very noisy"
In this very elegant hotel, unfortunately there is poor insulation between rooms, you could hear every word from the adjacent rooms. When they turned on the taps in the bathroom I was shocked by the unbearably loud sound. In addition, I could hear every footstep and scratches from the chairs pushed around on the tiled floor of the above flat! The hotel settings are beautiful, nice swimming pool. It is located a long distance from the touristic attractions
"Fantastic old hotel with wonderful grounds"
This hotel was just a bit out of town and we chose it so that we could get away from all the hustle and bustle after a lot of sightseeing over the past week. And first impressions were good as it all looked lovely - but the service wasn't very good - you could wait ages for a waiter or any service. All the staff seemed to do was move furniture around for all the weddings that took place - there needed to be some dedicated staff looking after the normal guests. The pool area was lovely but was very disappointing when it closed the whole day we were going to relax because of another wedding set up around the pool area. Room was very nice but 3 lightbulbs needed replacing and despite advising reception staff this wasn't done. Bit tired in some places - needs a bit of updating - it's a shame because the grounds are perfect and could be a great hotel with the right management.
"Certain things need to be improved"
Really enjoyed our two night stay here. Very spacious and very clean in all areas, with everything we needed in the room and bathroom, though no hostess tray in the room (thankfully we had brought our own kettle, etc). Beatriz, the restaurant manager, was delightful, very efficient and eager to please, and Immaculada on the reception desk was also charming. Although a vast choice of breakfast items, we felt the quality of the food was below average, and were disappointed not to have fresh coffee (the instant variety from the machine was dreadful). The location is lovely and very tranquil, in an upmarket suburb of Córdoba, and the hotel has pretty gardens, a lovely pool and tennis courts. We would definitely return if we were to visit Córdoba again.
"Traveling through Spains southern cities"
A well appointed hotel in its own grounds. Some way out from the town center but a regular local bus runs from round the corner(5 minute walk) every 20 minutes. A good size pool set in the grounds of the hotel was very appreciated. The hotel was very quiet but we were at the tail end off summer. All in all very satisfactory.
