Ayre Hotel Sevilla enjoys a strategic location in one of the best commercial and business areas of the city, in front of the station of Santa Justa (AVE terminal), in a very active and dynamic area full of shops, malls, cinemas and restaurants.
The hotel is located just 10 minutes from the Palacio de Congresos and 15 minutes from the international airport "St. Paul" "bus stop in front of the hotel".
"Convenient for day trips out of Seville"
We booked this hotel for its proximity to the train station as we were taking trips to nearby Cordoba and Jerez. Our fourth floor room was clean, quiet and air-conditioned. The bed seemed a little short in length, but comfy nonetheless. A wide range of toiletries were provided, we wouldn't have been wanting for anything if we had forgotten our wash kit. The wifi was a little flaky at times, but worked fine most of the time and was perfectly acceptable for web browsing for things to do or restaurants etc. The staff at reception spoke English and were very friendly and helpful.
"Lovely to look at, BUT"
The bathroom was large, the tub high the bed was comfortable, but the linens were so stiff, I actually got a scraped elbow from them when I rolled over. It bled! The linens were Uncomfortable. We asked for a wake up call that never came to our room, but one of the other group members got it, and the tour director had a wake up call request for us, but that never came. When we didn't show up for the tour in the morning, the tour guide called our room and woke us up. We had to rush dressing, just brushed our teeth and washed our face, dressed and ran out the door. She had let the bus go on without us and hired a cab to take us to the beginning of the tour. It was not pleasant missing a shower and breakfast. The second day, the service was unfriendly and even when we spoke Spanish, they did not respond. We made it a point to say please and thank you, but never got a reply.
Hotel was in a good location with bus stop close to take bus into the main part of town. There were tapas bars and a Burger King close by. The room was large and comfortable and well supplied with lotions, shampoo etc. There was always lots of hot water and the shower spray worked great. There was very little road noise or noise from the other rooms or hallways. Breakfast was average.
We stopped here for the last 3 nights of an eleven night tour. Well located opposite the main railway station plus a bus stop just across the road for the 21 which takes you down town. Nice little tapas bar just across the road next to Burger King. The set meal the first night was probably the best meal we had during our whole trip and was also waiter service. We ate out the 2nd night but the 3rd and last night, which was a buffet meal was probably amongst the worst we had during the trip. The dining room was busy and dishes on the buffet were not replaced when empty so choice was limited. Breakfasts were okay.
Choice for Gate1 tour. Not a bad location and hotel and tapas bar in front of hotel nice. Breakfast bar was good. Room was clean with soaking tub for relaxing but I would say the bed was a little hare. The room could use an update.
