"Perfect for Albert Hall"
We stayed here to be near the Albert Hall and it is perfect for that. Costly, but OK by London pricing standards for the class of hotel that it is. Lovely room, attentive staff and a good breakfast. Would certainly return here when visiting the Albert Hall again.
We stayed at the Baglioni for one night whilst visiting London to see Cirque du Soleil at the Albert Hall. (the show was absolutely amazing) The Baglioni is perfect for the Albert Hall as it is a five minute walk away and finding a taxi after the show would have been very difficult. The Science and Natural History museums are close by too and easily walkable. Whilst checking in the manager introduced himself and assured us that they would do their very best to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The hotel had upgraded us to a suite which was lovely, well appointed and with a view of Hyde Park. It had everything we needed (including a piano) although the coffee machine made only expresso and some other styles of coffee would have been welcome. We felt that breakfast was a little expensive at 26 GBP per head for a continental breakfast. I'm sure it would have been good but the Yorkshireman in me prevented me from trying it. There are plenty of cafe's nearby offering breakfast. If you are looking to include a visit to the Natural History or Science museums or have tickets for the Albert Hall this hotel is perfect.
"Fabulous hotel & staff"
I have stayed at this hotel 4x now in the last 2+yrs, The staff are fantastic! In particular the reception staff and concierge are super helpful and friendly. I would like to say a special thank you to Edoardo & Donato.
"Not what I imagined, but pleasant"
The pros: staff is friendly and accommodating (although we were never offered "VIP" or butler service as advertised for a Junior Suite). The Suite was nice, but husband and I agreed that it looked much more posh in hotel pics. Con: major one, in our opinion, was location: we wound up taking the Tube and taxis to the center of things, often more than once per day. Kensington is nice, sedate, but a distance from attractions and decent food. Overall, a decent stay, but would choose to stay closer to Soho next time around.
It was our first trip to London. My sister is a big fan of the arts so we needed to visit Royal Albert Hall which is near the Baglioni Hotel. My family and I stayed for 7 nights. It is an amazing place with a great food. Also a very clean hotel. The service was professional and the stuff made us feel very comfortable.
