"Pure pampering in The Banjaran"
The Banjaran Ipoh If you go to the Banjaran you need not to go out. There is so much to enjoy. Everything is there. A very good spa (we had a twin massage), an impressive cave in which a very good restaurant and bar. Another pretty restaurant on the place (also for breakfast), a Dr. Fish pool, a very clean and pretty swimming pool and all that on a place where each day 3 – 4 mln liters of hot (40 – 70 degrees) water is coming up from a well. The villa’s where you stay in are all very spatially some in the garden some at the waterfront. An enormous bed, bathroom and whirlpool. So there is only one thing what you can do: Enjoy!
"High Expectation "
My husband & I decided on a 2 nights short trip to chill out after Xmas. The first impression was good with the serene surrounding. We stayed in Villa 6, it's spacious with full privacy. Until we heard the construction noise the next morning at 8am! It's not super loud but 8am, it's quite disturbing especially when you have paid quite a lot for a night stay. The service staff were good. They are courteous and provide useful information about the resort. 5 stars on service. Food quality is of normal hotel standard (Pamelo Restaurant) not living up the the price we pay for the stay. Example the Dim Sum basket for breakfast is really disappointing. Food at Jeff's Cellar was better but it's not of fine dinning standard. The dinning experience in Jeff's Cellar, located in one of the biggest cave here is extra ordinary. This is 6 stars for sure! So the 3 stars rating is due to the high charges rendering a higher expectation. If the charges is of normal rate of RM900-1000, it would have been 5 stars.
This is really a great place for a short weekend trip, to let yourself to relax and escape from the busy city life. This was our second visit to the Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat. We had water villa on the first time we were here. This time we stayed in the garden villa set within a secluded tropical garden overlooking lush green hills. Spacious villa came with a living area, a small dining table, large bedroom with oversized king bed came with very comfortable mattress and pillows (made us totally stuck in our bed throughout the day hahaha), private pool, indoor shower as well as a private backstage tropical outdoor rain shower (we truly enjoyed this outdoor rain shower) and jacuzzi with natural geothermal hot springs. The resort is very clean and quiet. The overall resort environment makes you feel near to mother nature. The resort provides free wifi with a strong signals. The breakfast spread was very good and the main course was ordered from the kitchen including fresh juices. Staff are amazing, friendly and helpful that never fail to greet every guest with a smile. Even the resort manager, Mr Raymond will always give a warm greeting everytime you passing him, which make guests feel like a VIP! He even went to each table during breakfast as to check if we were happy with their services. We also loved the evening cocktail hosted by Mr Raymond. Looking forward to this! The resort also has various activities and facilities for guests to have fun. Overall, we really had a wonderful stay and enjoyed our weekend getaway. The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat is definitely the perfect way to escape from the hustle and bustle city life! Beautiful resort that never fail to amaze us. Well done Banjaran team!!! Your services are certainly exceeded 5 star resorts.

"Haven on Earth"
After two years of nonstop working, I decided it is time for my wife and myself to take a break. We started researching the resorts in Malaysia, and zeroed on Banjaran. At first we could not find a booking, but after a week my travel agent called me with the good news "congratulations I was able to book you a 7 night stay at Banjaran." From the time we arrived (which was three days ago), we felt that we landed in haven: From the Water Villa, the scenery and landscape, the lakes, the greenery, tranquility, and calmness of the retreat. Another feature is the staff, whom you will always find them smiling and helpful. We had breakfast with Alex (the new GM) of the retreat, and he was very helpful and tentative. If you are planning a visit to Malaysia make sure you stop by BANJARAN for at least two days. I'm planning to post some pictures in the coming couple of days before we leave.
