"My experience in banyan tree alwadi"
I visit the banyan tree alwadi in November... With my family...the villa is very clean ..location is perfect.. Villa with swimming pool ...with warm water.. The in room dining is expensive . The check in and check out is fast Staff very helpful...many activities to do for different ages.
This is the 2nd time I have stayed at banyan tree al wadi. We stayed in a Sahara tent villa and enjoyed it very much. The service levels are very high and staff here are very attentive. The pool is great as it is heated and can be enjoyed late at night. I was a bit annoyed at check in as it took over half an hour to get served (busy period). I mentioned this minor annoyance to the manager who then apologised and compensated us all with a 3 course dinner at the Saffran restaurant in the resort, which has only reinforced our faith in the resort and the banyan tree brand. Happy days.
"Beautiful place and experience "
We visited banyan tree al wadi and celebrated my husband's birthday. Was a wonderful surprise organized by the staff and coordinated by the Duty Manager Mr. Jiju. We had our privacy in the beautiful tented villa with the pool. The dinner at Zafran was splendid. With activities organized as well... a great experience and would love to visit again

"Amazing Massage, Average Food, Very Good Stay"
A few years have passed since my last visit to the Banyan Tree Al Wadi, which occurred shortly after it had opened. The Good: My wife and I indulged in the Pure Rejuvenation Package and I can say it was the best massage I have ever received in my life. I typically get massages about once every six weeks or so and have been to every major spa in Dubai, but this was *amazing*. The villas were beautiful, as always and the staff were very helpful. We saw an oryx walk past our pool and that was truly magical. The Bad: The food was definitely not good. The quality was average, at best, and the breakfast was uninspiring. How are you going to charge close to $25 for a butter chicken and not even serve it with rice' The food was my biggest complaint. It was a major disappointment and, given how few dining options you have, you are in for an average experience at best. Also, if I am spending hundreds of dollars to be there and spending hundreds of dollars on spa experiences, do NOT charge me for the Rainforest experience (to use the indoor spa facilities) as if I am someone off the street. This is apparently a new "idea" and one that is embarrassing and objectionable. So I jsut paid $25 for a butter chicken and now you want me to pay the same to use an indoor pool for an hour' Thanks. The Ugly: On this trip, I got the feeling that the hotel was in a cash crunch and had cut costs wherever it could. I loved the fact that each villa had its own bikes, but they were in *deplorable* condition. I remember the breakfast serving champagne during the last trip, on this trip you had to wait 20 minutes for a waiter to clear your plates. The dining areas were understaffed. A lot of the shine had been gone. I had a good stay, I was happy, but I wouldn't plan on coming back any time soon. For the money I paid, I believe there many better options on the beach in the UAE. Yes it's luxurious and private and the villas are great, but you have two dining options and the value for money is not good.
