El hotel es precioso, las habitaciones amplias, acogedoras, limpias, bonitas, con todos los requerimientos necesarios. El personal es muy amable, servicial, atento, resuelve lo que necesites.Comment of O. Norma , Mexico the 2015-10-21
Definitely a beautiful place. Love thai architecture and aesthetic. We came by boat. Were greeted nicely and luggage handled. So many great couches and cabanas to lounge in the main building. Beautiful restaurant though we did not eat there. The pool was very welcoming with a swim up bar and great lounges all around. Our room was stunning with great heated large plunge pool, hammock, grand headboard, outdoor tub, outdoor lounge and dining area- we were very happy here. They provided us with bikes to get around. It was a bit of a ride to the beach. They black sand barriers were quite eye sores but water was gorgeous. It was presidents day weekend so service was slow. We did do a spa treatment which was perfection. The couples suite was beautiful and therapists very skilled and accommodating. We were even able to shower in the spa suite before leaving for the airport. The spa was booked- wish they had more staff on hand to accomodate more treatments. Absolutely gorgeous place all in all. Had no issues with bugs. Room service was great. Only cons were on the beach that weekend. Would still recommend and come back again.
"Stunning, tranquil, luxurious and wonderful!"
My fiance and I stayed at Banyan Tree Mayakoba for 2 days over the long weekend and wow, we were blown away! Just the entrance itself to the resort is incredible and the drive through the large property really makes you realize you are entering a whole different world. The grounds are so well maintained with gorgeous views of the golf course, lagoon and at the end, the beach. The large site has a few different properties - the Rosewood, Fairmont and Andaz but they are all so well integrated and you never feel over crowded. We were welcomed by extremely friendly staff and were showed around by Carolina who is an absolute gem! We were able to explore with the quick and efficient golf cart service as well as the bikes. Only small complain is that we didn't get the bikes until the evening of our second night even though we were promised them by the morning of our second day and we had to call multiple times. But this is something small that can be fixed! We just loved riding our bikes around and being greeted by the hardworking and kind staff everywhere. Alright so the room - it is simply majestic and out of the world! We has a one bedroom bliss pool villa and it was just beautiful and relaxing. You definitely see the Asian touch through the blend of the design with nature and the room welcomes it's surroundings into it. The bed is so comfortable and there is so much space! We also absolutely loves the bathroom which was not only beautifully designed but also had an outdoor tub, walk in closet, showers everything! Carolina surprised us one night by having our tub filled with and decorated with roses, candles and wine waiting for us after dinner! Every small attention to detail is really taken care of and every guest is really felt at ease. We also spent some time out doors in our ppol and it was so relaxing and private with the beautiful nature sounds around us. Next I need to tell you about the massage - it was absolutely intoxicating! From the moment we entered to the moment we left, we felt like we were in heaven! We had a couples massage in a quiet and serene room and everything smelled amazing! They definitely do an Asian inspired massage with essential oils that is really the best. I had Wawa as my masseuse and she had the hands of a goddess. She was also so sweet and really cleared all my knots. She would increase and decrease the pressure as needed. I've had many massages before all over the world - some of the best in India - and this may have topped all of them. Both my fiance and I felt so relaxed and happy and we would highly recommend this experience! The food is pretty good! I say this because we really enjoyed the breakfast buffet (eat the Chilaquiles!!) and Saffron - both have gorgeous backdrops and amazing food and service. We weren't really impressed by La Copa. The food was mediocre an the drinks were watered down. We ended up paying the most for our meal there and were very unsatisfied. As a vegetarian, I had very limited options and I asked for beans on the side of my tacos that were very bland and I was served literally beans with no flavor. But if you are a vegetarian, do go to Saffron! They have a full vegetarian menu and the food is mouth watering. Thai is my favorite cuisine and they do not disappoint! I definitely see this place being better for couples and adults because children can often be picky so an all-inclusive may be a better idea for them. But otherwise this place provides a great escape. We also had a really good time at Sands Beach Club at the pool bar and beach! I really enjoyed my Tostada and drinks which our server made really strong. I forget his name at the moment but he seems to be the one who really manages the busy pool bar with a huge smile on his face and friendly attitude. The beach is well kept and nice. Not the best for swimming because of large rocks but it is swimable. We will definitely be back and we would love to check out all the Banyan Trees around the world! We are thinking of Banyan Tree as a potential wedding venue and I would highly recommend it! It would also be absolutely perfect for a honeymoon. The property is just gorgeous, and so romantic! The architecture is magnificent and everyone is so friendly! Just prepare to shell out some $$$$.
We just returned from the Banyan Tree in Mayakoba and just wow! The staff is the most friendly I have experienced. Mayakoba is a section in the jungle near the ocean with it's own private entrance for 4 (5') different resorts including the Fairmont, Rosewood and a new one called Azteca. From our short visit to all the resorts in the area, the Banyan Tree clearly outshone the others. Each private villa has it's very own private pool, hot tub jacuzzi and "pool house". The food is outstanding. Saffron was my favorite meal. Loved the buffet in the mornings at the Oriente. If you have a chance, sign up for the Haab dinner experience. I don't want to give too much away, because the element of surprise is so fun, but it's a MUST. Also, if you are on a romantic getaway, then Ixchel with your significant other is a perfect way to celebrate. It's a dinner on a small boat for two. SOOOO romantic!! I was very impressed by the food also! I wasn't sure what to think on a small boat. I recommend the 5:30 time slot over the 8:30 so that you can see the river in the day and night light. I could go on and on about this resort. One of my favorite trips!
"world class rates, average service"
The resort and the rooms are fantastic, the personnel is friedly and willing to be helpful, the rest is very average except for astonishing prices. Lots to do towards an envorimental friendly location.
