"A good business hotel"
Arrived late november. Ordered a junior suite and stayed for four days. I was totally happy with the room, the part of town which is close to the city. The room was clean, the bed was good and the service was acceptable with coffee and tea machine, safe and frigarator. The temperature was to my full satisfaction and I do recommend the hotel to others. The only minus was the restaurant but there are many restaurants within walking distance.
Clean hotel, 3 elevators, good atmosphere and a great breakfast buffet from 7 to 11 in the weekends. Located in Altstadt, quiet but very central. Walking distance to everything in inner city. Good wi-fi, nice room, shower is a glas cabin in the middle of the room - Barcelo style.
"Cool hip and trendy but small and pricey"
Been to a few barcelo's and this it's a very well appointed hotel but sadly the rooms were beyond small. I had room 905 which I'm not sure is standard etc but there was no room to even have you cases etc. The hotel has no views to speak off and if possible pick one that was closer to the waterside in the future. The restaurant was Good and the staff were helpful. The breakfast prices were a rip so we went elsewhere. The parking was handy and charged for but it's how it is in city centres. The shopping places is near by and there is no shortage of things to see and do. Easy walking distance to everything.
"Nice luxury hotel in the heart of Hamburg"
The location is perfect, you can walk around the center of the city, near to malls and shopping roads. The rooms are modern with more than enough space and king size comfortable beds. You can enjoy also a rich breakfast with wide selection. The only disadvantage is the price, but you are in Hamburg where most of the things are expensive.
We were in room 502 which was quite a good sized room, very clean, comfortable bed and cleaned daily. A fantastic shower, which is sort of in the middle of the room, but it works, the shower itself was powerful. Breakfast was probably the best breakfast I have had on mainland Europe. Fresh fruit, great variety of cooked breakfast, also a good selection of meats and cheeses. Lovely fresh bread and coffee. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. Some of the reception staff were very nice, others........... This hotel has a great location, about five minute walk from Central Station and the same to the main square, plenty of restaurants close to the hotel. Walking tours start in the square by the Town Hall. Would definitely recommend this hotel, we only stayed four nights would have liked it to be longer, it was that nice.
