Great value for money. Easy walking distance to Eurostar hotel and city centre. Staff very helpful.Comment of A. Eri , United Kingdom the 2014-05-30
Très bel hotel design, matériaux de qualité, service agréable. Flexibilité: on a pu laisser notre voiture dans le parking après le check-out jusqu'en fin d'après-midi.Comment of M. Christophe , Belgium the 2013-08-20
"Nice...but where is the light'"
Lack of light I felt from the very beginning as I was not able to find the hotel after my arrival late in the evening. I was turning around in the street, desperately looking at GPS in my phone which indicated that I was just in front if it but saw just a huge completely dark building. After few minutes I finally noticed the sign "Be Manos" high on the wall. The interior was really black with some spots of white and light. The room was big and in principle comfortable but I had to put all the lights on, including the ones in the bathroom which got inside through the glass door. But it still was gloomy... Good points - friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast with freshly boiled eggs what is not quite usual, and the location. Next time in Brussels I will find something lighter.
"Really fabulous hotel. Lovely staff"
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend during September 2016. The hotel was gorgeous. It was really artistic and trendy. We walked from the train station within 5 minutes and we also went to Gent for a day trip. The hotel is a bit far from the city centre and it wouldn't be the best of areas. I'm glad I was with my husband at all times as I wouldn't walk it on my own. We had some very bad experiences with taxis from Grand Place to the hotel. Both nights we took taxis, they tried to take us around the city in the wrong direction and both tried to charge us crazy money. I refused to pay more than €10 on the first night, and then the 2nd night, the driver had clocked up €25+ Euro on the meter!!! I only paid €10, but if I had not mentioned it, he was going to charge me the metered fare. The walk from Grand Place to the hotel was only 10 mins. The taxi drivers drove around for 15/20 mins. We walked on the third night as I wouldn't take a taxi again. This is not a refection on the hotel itself, but you should bear this in mind if you are not comfortable walking.
"DESIGNED FOR A PLEASANT STAY , AND MORE AND MORE ! ."
This has been a difficult review to make . It has taken me ages trying to condense all the positive comments that I and the family wanted to say. We rated Be Manos as one of the best hotels in Belgium maybe even Europe . Pleasant ,knowledgeable, friendly , multi lingual staff . Fortunate to thank personally Jean Pierre Miok ,the manager for his guidance and advice. My wife and I stayed in room 214 extremely quiet .clean and accommodating , BBC 1 on channel 30 for the Brits. Air con that worked with only a barely audible sound kept us cool at night . The view was into the courtyard and water feature . Very minor points , but the step into the fantastic luxurious powerful shower seemed to be a little higher than standard and slightly wider too . Fresh luxury towels , gown slippers toiletries every day . If you are shy or prefer to ablute in private there is only a smoked glass door dividing you from the bedroom ,the toilet has a solid wooden sliding door. The lay out enables your partner to sit aside of being able to see in if preferred , Our adult children had the same set up in room 211 , their view was to the front onto the street with minimal noise even with the windows open . Breakfast excellent , quality too , lovely fresh bread selection .The chipolatas, bacon ,scrambled egg could have been a little warmer is all . Our second day the polite server remembered our room number and choice of beverage . The £15,000 lead crystal lights ,all clean and shinning .Gentle soft music , made the breakfast perfect. The 2nd floor upon exiting along the corridor had about eight steps to the split . Unsure of other floors so check if it maybe a problem . Location is superb with the level walk into town centre approx. 20 mins walk but plenty of shops and eating places along the way . The children went out at midnight to dance and drink and came back at 0530 am with no problems or concerns at all , We all spent the day in Bruges , Tired and hot ,feet a little sore from the Belgian Pave were collected by the free shuttle mini bus . Lemonier is the local tram stop but you had to use a credit card to obtain a ticket but unable to fathom of how to do so ,but the walk is safe and colourful . It was all truly wonderful in all aspects and would sincerely hope to return ,and will positively recommend people to visit . Did not have enough time to use the roof terrace or other facilities this 4 night stay . Everywhere clean , even the pave outside scrubbed . THANKYOU BE MANOS .
My husband and I stayed here while on a month long Euro trip- we stayed here for 3 days. The hotel itself was very cool, very trendy and had some quirks. Our room was huge, it had a balcony that opened up to the street which was very romantic. The roof lounge area offered some amazing views of the city- it's not in the greatest area, but the hotel offered complementary cab rides to and from the train station.
"Our new favorite in town!"
An awesome hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect parking (pricey but secure) in their indoor car park, best to make a reservation. Rooms are great and very stylish. Windows can be slightly opened. Breakfast is good with different types of bread, very nice selection of cheeses and the other typical breakfast things. (pancakes, kellogs, yoghurt) A superb location. It's not in the busy city centre but only a 15 min walk away from it. (or 5 min metro) Also, from here it's easy to explore other parts of Brussels like Sint-Gillis, the Marolles, Elsene (Ixelles).
