This is a fabulous hotel. not cheap but the entry foyer is much more traditional than many of the Chinese hotels which tend to be, all chrome and glass. The staff, every single one of them were incredibly helpful and attentive to our needs. And the breakfast is superb. After saying all of this, location, location, location still becomes very important, particularly in Beijing where it is so difficult to get around. And it is ideal. Obvious for Tinanam square, Forbidden city etc. but also for Beijing China Museum, Wangfujing street (major up market pedestrian street) as well as the typical narrow, “old Beijing” street where you can get all the local weird delicacies to eat. Thoroughly recommend.
"Great location but not 5 stars "
This is realistically a four star hotel from my comparison to other five star properties. Pros: location very convenient to sightsee Concierges are amazing. Made up for other unpleasantness Gym Breakfast Room size/value Cons: Room service- called to order and everything I asked for they were out of or just not making. Dessert menu has 10-15 items and the only thing they could offer was a fruit platter. Eventually after a bit of probing I was able to get a mousse and a cheesecake. Rooms need updating. Things coming apart and the shower drain constantly slipping out. Furniture needs repaired. Spa-there is one but it's not a typical hotel spa. It's more like what you find on a side street with limited offerings.
The staff try to go above and beyond. There are signs of wear and tear - minor. This hotel is in a fab location! Easy to subway! Drinks in lounge were very expensive. Great variety. You are paying for the location. All hotels in this area will be higher expense due to location. Excellent breakfast in the hotel!
"Nice hotel, good location"
At the price we paid, the location and quality of the hotel was very good, although some of the fixtures were showing signs of age. The service on the front desk was good, but we didn't use any other facilities as we were sightseeing out of the hotel most of the time. The food was really expensive so we had breakfast outside as well. Not sure what else to say other than if the price is right you get a very spacious room with good facilities. Oh and the name is really confusing, given there is a Nuo Hotel Beijing, but it makes sense when you get there as the hotel is in effect another wing of the larger Beijing Hotel.
very nice hotel, pretty near to tienaman square, very nice service and breakfast , I have a great dinner too, If I will come back to Beijing in the future, for sure I will come back here, any transport service is near, exactly in front of the hotel there is a Metro stop.
