The delux rooms have pretty nice view. Foods are quiet good and crews are very welcoming. Great hospitality. Would suggest them to put more Bali beds since they're very less and always booked by the guests from 7am
We stayed for 7 nights and had a good experience except for a couple of hiccups. Check-in went well considering it was 2am(late due to Sunwings incompetence). We found the staff super friendly and helpfull. Thanks! The complex was clean and not as in need of renovations as I read in previous reviews. We had room 5616 which I think was the best room in the resort. Top floor with a wrap around deck so not only were we facing the Carribean and pool area but go to the side if our deck and we could watch the sunset over the lagoon...great. Everything work in our room. Air/con, tv, toilet, fridge shower(low water pressure),bed, elevator, etc. The food here was very good(a little salty) and having to order from a menu rather than a buffet was a nice touch.(although there was a breakfast buffet as well). My complaints are regarding the way they handled our room lock not working and we had to go up and down a few times with new keys(cards) when it was the batteries in the lock that was the problem. Another bigger complaint was having to sign a bill with room number, for everything. Dinners, snacks, drinks etc. Everything. I thought this was redundant as we were All-Inclusive. I can see signing if we were European Plan or No Meals Plan. I was concerned about getting a nasty bill at check-out. My last complaint was regarding bracelet we purchased from the gift shop which started falling apart after 2 hrs of wearing. We took it back and wanted our money back and they refused and offered us a credit. I did not want to purchase anything else from there being concerned it was all the same quality or lack of it. Finally after the Hotel manager got involved did they reluctantly refund our cash. We would stay here again.
"Much improvement needed"
Not sure where to start. Check in was uneventful and was fairly smooth. Got our key cards. Got to our room and the cards didn't work. Had the cleaning lady let us in. Dialed the front desk. They came to replace the key cards and they didn't work. They came back with another set and didn't work. Finally on the 3rd round, the key cards worked. Went to get dinner since we checked in right around dinner time. We were only able to take a few bites of each of our dinners. Couldn't finish. The steak that I got was barely warm and tasted like it was somebody's leftovers reheated. The next day our AC broke in the room and there was a leak in our bathroom right above the toilet. We got really sunburned that day and spent most of our day in the room to avoid the sun and were told the AC would be fixed in the morning. They didn't fix it until after 5pm the next day. The cleaning service was good. The resort itself is an older resort and is in need of some renovations. The pool area was ok. In the descriptions, it was said that there were 5 restaurants. Technically not true. There really is only 3. The main one just had 2 different menus, but the area, staff, etc are all the same. Overall, we would not recommend and will not be coming back to this resort. If you are staying here, I wouldn't recommend the all inclusive option.
"Simple but I liked it..."
No too fancy like most Cancun Resorts like to be, but simple with touchs of elegance. Small, no too many rooms, thus not too many people... nice pool and beach... being an "all inclusive" the good is very good, the breakfast is not a feast but right, the drinks are good, the service is good, the people are friendly - special thanks for Mr. Raúl at the restaurant/bar, for all his attentions - very nice stay overall. I recommend and will return. Attention to little details like: room air conditioner a bit too noisy... card key to the room door had to be changed several times.
"Last WONDERFUL holiday, End Oct. through early Nov. 2017 - 10 days"
With my close-to-death but FULL OF LIFE partner, Doug. Arriving at Cancun airport, Nexus made it easy-peasy! ;) Arrived early & check-in at 3, but were able to store luggage, change into swimwear, and the staff were helpful. Doug and I headed to the Shipwreck Island bar (poolside) immediately. They were later to become our "go-to", so MANY thanks to the guys (Eeek, 10 days of us!!!): Gaspar, Efrain, Irving, Uriel & Emmanuel were wonderful with us. We (Canadians) were asking for "Forte!", come drink time... I fell in love with a drink called Arena Blanco. It's not on the menu, so beware to the weak of heart (mind, or liver!) ;) Oh, and at sunset, there's a sweet little champagne & sweets reception, Lagoon view... If you want a spiffy, shiny modern resort, this is NOT for you. It's small, full of character and minor quirks, but the staff, food (great breakfast buffet & varied lunch/dinner (special thank you to awesome waiter Manuel!) menus), views and company were stellar. Spa ladies were wonderful - DEFINITELY worth a massage(!!), but sadly do not recall their names (lost the card)... Only one bar open at night, but it's chill/outdoors (Lobby bar), and well-staffed (shout-out to Benito - thank you for putting on the baseball for Doug, even though it was an unpopular decision, lol). INFINITY pool is gorgeous. Must do: day trip to Isla Mujeres - no cars, but can rent a golf cart and jet around the island - way worth the trip, and can snorkel on the way (check out the underwater sculptural art!). Doug has recently passed away, but spoke so happily of our time there until then, so.... GREAT LAST TRIP!!!! Thank you ALL so much for making this a wonderful and memorable stay. Best Regards, Siobhan (pronounced "Shivon") Toronto, Canada
